Allis Forceps Used to hold tough
structures like
aponeurosis, fascia,
tendon, anterior rectus
sheath and skin; only used
to hold delicate tissue
which has to be removed
during a surgical
procedure.
Round nose May be used as a clamp,

the handles have two-
position locking device.
Serrations are not sharp
and will not cut soft
material.
Kelly Forceps Used to clamp larger
Straight vessels and tissue; also
used for occluding
bleeders before
cauterization or ligation.
Kelly Forceps Primarily used to clamp

manipulating heavy
tissue; may also be used
for soft tissue dissection.
