5.00 P/L suitable size copper PVC insulated armoured power three & half core cable conforming to BIS 1554 (Part I) -1988 or latest with up to date 10 Mtr
ammendments of Siemen/Gloster/ ICC /National /IEC/ Havells/ L&T/ Finolex/ Standard make from meter of HPSEB to circuit breaker & from
circuit breaker to bus bar switch & starter (one cable carrying all three phases) including all other electrical equipment/accessories such as
thimbles,flexible pipe,solder,nuts & bolts,cable glands etc. laid in pipes or trenches under floor. The type,size & make will be subject to
approval of HPSEB authorities. In case of non acceptance by HPSEB authorities it shall have to be replaced by the tenderer free of cost,
including all leads and lifts and as per entire satisfaction of Engineer - in - charge

5.01 P/L suitable size copper PVC insulated armoured power three core cable conforming to BIS 1554 (part I)-1988 or latest with up to date 25 mtr
ammendments of Siemen/ Gloster /ICC/ EICO/National / IECHavells/ L&T/ Finolex / Standard make from switch to starter & starter to motor
(one cable carrying all three phases) including all other electrical equipment /accesories such as thimbles,flexible pipes, solder,nuts &
bolts,cable glands etc. laid in pipes or trenches under floor.The type,size & make will be subject to approval of HPSEB authorities. In case of
non acceptance by HPSEB authorities it shall have to be replaced by the tenderer free of cost, including all leads and lifts and as per entire
satisfaction of Engineer - in - charge ( For all pump sets).

5.02 P/L double loop earthing with GI plate 600x600x3mm thick electrode complete with material such as charcoal, common salt ,GI 1 Job.
pipes,thimbles,nuts & bolts,digging of pits,copper wiring & 32x5mm / 25 X 5 mm GI strips of required capacity conforming to BIS 3043-1987
latest with up to date ammendments suitable for above motors & other electrical equipments, including all leads and lifts and as per entire
satisfaction of Engineer - in - charge

5.03 Supply & errection of floor/wall mounted power factor shunt capacitor conforming to BIS 2834-1986 or latest with upto date ammendments of 2 Nos.
Havells/ L&T make to raise the prevailing power factor at site to 0.95 for direct connection to induction motor individually,of required KVAR
according to HP of motor offered including cable Siemens/Gloster/ICC make from busbar chamber to capacitor & also including
L&T//Kilburn/Standard/Siemen/Havells make ICTP switches conforming to BIS 4064-1978 or latest with HRC fuses (Range to be specified by
the tenderer), including all leads and lifts and as per entire satisfaction of Engineer - in - charge

6.00 Supply of 100mm dia circular dial pressure gauge of suitable range & standard make such as Fiebeg/Bourden/ Precision/ PREGA with all 2 Nos.
accessories such as stop cock,copper tubing etc. conforming to BIS 3624-1987 or latest with up to date ammendments, including all leads
and lifts and as per entire satisfaction of Engineer - in - charge
7.00 P/F double flanged suction, delivery pipe & common header considering site requirements, NPSH required & available & common header 1 Job.
having area equal to two times the area of delivery branch of pump including tapers,flanges,rubber gaskets 3mm thick as per BIS-2712-1978
nuts & bolts as per 1364-1983 & special up to 5 mtrs. away from the outer wall of pump house as per layout drawings approved by Engineer-
in-Charge. The pipes shall be capable of withstanding 1.5 times the total presure indicated in item no. 31 (E)-(ii). The size of suction pipe shall
be one or two sizes larger than the suction size of pump such that velocity of flow in suction pipe is not more than 3.00 mtr/sec & delivery pipe
shall be of size one size larger than nominal delivery size of pump, including all leads and lifts and as per entire satisfaction of Engineer - in -
charge NOTE:- Actual laying to be done as per final drawings to be approved by the Engineer in charge.

8.00 Errection/commissioning and testing of all equipments i/c cost of tees,bends tapers & any other fittings required as per site conditions, 1 Job.

8.00 Excavation in foundation, trenches ( for pipes & pits) upto all depths in all classification of earth work such as pick work, jumper work, 964.875 Cum 266.00 Per cubic 256657.00
saturated soil including bailing and pumping out water, blasting soft/ hard rock or chieselling soft/hard rock where blasting is prohibited in all metre
lifts including trimming and dressing of sides, leveling of beds to correct grade i/c shoring /strutting , planking, timbering & dewatering
wherever required, stacking the useable & unuseable material /soil separately & after laying jointing & testing of pipes, returning the useable
soil in trenches in 15 cm layers including consolidating of such deposoited layer by ramming & watering & then disposing of all surplus
excavated soil /unusable material as directed with in all leads & lifts including restoration unmetalled surfaces to its original condition &
including cost of diversion for traffic, night signals, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for access to houses, fencing etc. complete
in all respects with in all leads & lifts as per directions of engineer-in-charge.

9.00 Providing , laying, fixing, jointing and testing in trenches MS pipe of following dia meters confirming to BIS 3183-2007 with latest upto date
amendments, of following grade and having wall thickness as specified below with plain end and capable of with standing required test
pressure in random length of 4 to 7 meters, including specials, short pieces, bends, reducers, tees etc. made from parent tube, providing
and welding of MS flanges detailed as below. The MS flanges shall confirm to BIS 6392-1971 (with latest up to date amendments) duly
welded in three layers (one inner and two outer) with pipes at both ends as per relevant BIS standards along with nuts and bolts of required
sizes, 3mm thick compressed asbestos fiber/synthetic rubber gaskets confirming to relevant BIS standards. The laying of pipe will include all
operation such as cutting, welding, jointing, providing & fixing of MS flanges, fabrication of bends, tees etc. including lowering and laying in
excavated trenches to ensure required level including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects to the satisfaction of
the Engineer in charge. The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts having its radius not less than five times the dia of pipe. The pipes
shall be factory galvanized (zinc coating both inside and outside) as per relevant IS standards and the damaged portion of the pipes and
specials made form the parent tube shall be provided anticorrosive treatment by applying two coats of anticorrosive bituminous paint over a
priming coat as per AWWA specifications C-203-1978. The welding electrodes shall be as per IS 814 of Advani Oerlikon/ L&T or ISI marked
make. The rates also includes entire carriage of material, flushing, cleaning & hydraulic testing complete to the best satisfaction & directin of
Engineer in charge with in all leads and lifts. (Earth work in trenches will be measured and paid for separately).

dia meters confirming to BIS 3183-2007 with latest upto date amendments, steel grade specified below (latest with upto date amendments)
having wall thickness as specified below with bevelled ends and capable of withstanding required test pressure in a random length of 4 to 7
meters, including manufacturing reducers/ tapers , all short pieces, beds etc. as per site requirement made from parent tubes . The laying of
pipe will include all operation such as cutting, welding, jointing, fabrication of bends, tees etc. including lowering and laying in excavated
trenches to ensure required level including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects to the satisfaction of the Engineer
in charge. The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts having its radius not less than five times the dia of pipe. The pipes shall be

11.00 Laying, laying, jointing and testing in trenches GMS pipe of following diameter confirming to BIS 1239 (part 1) of following grade and having
wall thickness as specified below with plain end and capable of withstanding required test pressure in rrandom length of 4 to 7 meters,
including specials, short pieces, bends, reducers, tees etc. made from parent tube, providing and welding of MS flanges detailed as below.

11.01 GI pipe 150mm (MG) Flange Table-5, RD 0 to 30 mtrs 30 Rmt 456.00 Per Rmt 13680.00

12.00 Laying,fixing and jointing ( by way of circumfrential butt welded joints by electrical arc welding ) and testing of GMS pipe of following
diameter confirming to BIS 1239 (part 1) of following grade and having wall thickness as specified below with plain end and capable of
withstanding required test pressure in rrandom length of 4 to 7 meters, including specials, short pieces, bends, reducers, tees etc. made from
parent tube,etc. as per site requirement . The laying of pipe will include all operation such as cutting, welding, jointing, fabrication of bends,
tees etc. including lowering and laying in excavated trenches to ensure required level including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing
complete in all respects to the satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts having its radius not

Terms and conditions:-


1 The firm shall forward a copy of supply order/indent placed by it for the supply of pumps and motors on the manufactures/ authorized dealers of the pumps and motors to the consignee within 30 days
after issue of the letter of intent/ award by the Engineer-in-Charge. The copy of supply order/indent to the consignee should also accompany the dealership certificate of the dealer for the pumping
machinery in case the pumps and motors are arranged from the authorised dealers.

2 The firm shall arrange dispatch of offered pumps and motors to the consignee direct from the manufacturers/ their authorized dealer of the pumping machinery for which the supply order/ indent has
been placed by the firm. The packing slip should indicate the details of materials in the package and material of construction of pumps and motors.

3 The shop test for the pumps and motors shall be carried out at manufactures works in the presence of representative of the department as per IS: 325-1978. The test performance certificate of the
pumping machinery shall be arranged by the firm from the manufactures and get it approved from the Engineer-in-Charge before actual dispatch of the pumping machinery.

4 The firm shall supply the recommended list of spares and quantities required for normal working of pumping machinery (2 years) from the manufactures of the aforesaid equipment at the time of
quoting rates and shall quote item rates for the same also.
5 The firm shall supply the manufactures manual for the operation and maintenance of the pumping equipment.
6 The firm shall arrange operation and maintenance training to the operating staff for the pumping machinery (without extra cost) for a period of 7 days i.e. during the testing period.
7 The Characteristic curves of the pumping equipment shall be uploaded with the offer.
8 The firm shall supply layout drawing in respect of various components, such as suction pipes, valves, cable, trenches, control panel etc. from the foot valve location to the common header to be
connected with rising main. The details of foundations required for various components shall also be supplied by the firm within 30 days of the letter of intent/ award.

9 The installation of pumping machinery above 100 HP shall be inspected by the technical representative of the manufacturers of rank not less than that of a services Engineer, at the work site and
inspection certificate shall be supplied to the Engineer-in-Charge. This inspection shall be in addition to the test report and nothing extra shall be paid on this account.
10 The wiring and installation of electric equipment shall be as per HPSEB rules and regulations & subjected to the approval of the Chief Electrical Inspector and or his authorized officer. Any defect
pointed out shall be rectified by the firm without any extra cost. The wiring and installation of all electric equipment shall be done by a licensed contractor of approved class of HPSEB and test report
shall be got accepted from the HPSEB authorities on their approved format (form D) for release of power connection by the firm without extra cost.

11 The temporary electrical connection, if required during installation shall be arranged by the firm at its own cost and energy charges shall also be paid directly by the firm to the HPSEB.
12  Prices of all the items shall be FOR site of work inclusive of all leads and lifts and shall be inclusive of all charges of transportation insurance, packing, taxes and duties such as sales tax excise duty,
GST and local taxes etc.
13 The rates shall be quoted only on B.O.Q.
14 The location of site can be ascertained from the Assistant Engineer and the rates quoted by the firm shall be inclusive of all mechanical and manual transport within all leads and lifts to the site of work.
15 All the equipment/ material shall conform to the relevant BIS specifications wherever applicable and in its absence to any accepted National/ International standards.
16 The general specifications of the work shall conform to HPPWD/Punjab PWD specifications as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge.
17 The validity of the tender shall be not less than 120 days.
18 All the equipments shall be guaranteed against any manufacturing defect including metallurgy and its performance for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the date of commissioning/ 18 (eighteen)
months from the date of supply which ever is earlier. Any defect, if noticed within the stipulated period shall be rectified by the firm at its own cost within 15 days of bringing the same to its notice. The
guarantee clause shall be substantiated by a guarantee bond of a Nationalized Bank for an amount equal to the cost of pumping and electric equipment (accessories included) pledged in the name of
the Executive Engineer-in-charge at the time of applying for refund of security deposits. The guarantee bound shall be released after the expiry of the guarantee period.

19 The installed pumping machinery and other allied accessories shall be tested daily for stipulated pumping hours and the NIT fir a period of 7 days without extra cost. However, the cost of electricity
and water shall be borne by the department. During the guarantee period if any efficiency of the pumping and electric equipments should not vary beyond the range of (+/-) 2.5%. During guarantee
period the efficiency falls beyond 2.5% to a maximum of 5%, 1% cost of the pump set for 1% fall of the efficiency shall be deducted. In case of fall of effiency beyond 5% the pump sets shall be
rejected and cost of the effected pump set recovered from the pledged bank guarantee and or from the security deposit as the case may be.

20 80% (Eighty percent) payment of the cost of pumping machinery and equipment less 10% security and other statutory recovery shall be made after receipt of complete pumping machinery i.e. pump
and motors received together at site of work in good condition. The balance 20% cost after deduction of the security and other recoveries shall be released after successful and satisfactory
installation, testing of the entire equipment. Ten percent security deposit shall be released as stipulated in the agreement.

21 90% (Ninety percent) installation charges shall be released after satisfactory installation of all the pumping and electrical equipment. Remaining 10% of installation charges shall be released after
testing of the entire equipment.
22 The contractor will provide complete detail of make and model of pumping machinhery alongwith rating of pumping machinery, make/rating and size of all electro-mechnical and piping system.
23 The contractor/firm will engage professtionals who have requisite qualification/sufficient experience in operation of pumping machinery and should be able to understand the device/directions from the
department officers. The firm shall submit to the department the name, qualification and experience of his professional deployed.

24 The contractor/firm shall fulfill/satisfy all conditions of labour department as per labour laws and shall be responsible for any labour complaints.
25 Log Book for each pump shall be maintained separately for regular record of time and hours of run, discharge shall be kept by the contractor/firm and got it checked from the Engineer-in-charge
fortnightly.
Rising main
1 The alignment of pipe line is subject to change as per site conditions. Most suitable and technically feasible alignment as per directions of Engineer-in-charge shall be followed at site and nothing extra
shall be paid beyond the approved rates.
2 All machinery/equipment required for laying of pipes shall be arranged by the contractor/firms.
3 The firm has to give its working schedule for various components before start of work and get same approved from Engineer-in-charge.
4 The measurement for providing, laying and jointing of pipes laid shall be made only after the same is tested as per technical requirements. The back filling shall be allowed only after the said testing.
5 L-sections/plan of the pipe line can be seen in the Divisional office at any working day.
6 The firm shall make all the arrangements for woking in night hours( if required) at its own cost.
7 Any damages caused to any structure during the execution of work by the firms will be restored to its original conditions by the firm/contractor at its own cost.
8 The rates of all items should be inclusive of the carriage of all the material within all lead and lifts to the site of works.
9 The work shall be executed as per BIS codes. PWD specification/recommendation of manu8al on water supply and treatment and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge.
10 The pipe shall be inspected by the Inspecting Oficer appointed by the Engineer-in-charge before dispatch of it from the manufacturer works at the cost of the contractor.
11 The contractor will be responsible for watch and ward of materials at site of work.
12 Statement of length where the pipe is not buried under ground due to rocky strata shall be attacahed with every bill for the inspection of the Engineer-in-charge.
13 The pipe will be got tested from the Engineer-in-charge before laying and the under specification pipe will be rejected and nothing will be paid to the contractor for the same.
14 Before the pipe is lowered into the trenches, it should be ensured that even bedding is provided for pipe line. The pipe shall be lowered progressibly with the help of necessary tools as per site
conditions. Care be taken to see the longitudinal seam on the consecutive pipe are staggered by at last 30 degree and should keep in the upper 1/3 radian of the pipe.
15 All pipe shall under go mil test pressure and tensile test at manufacturers works as per standard and a certificate to this effect shall be provided by the contractor before the relase of the first
installment of payment.

16 The hydraulic test pressure after laying shall not be less than 2.25 time the actual working pressure.
17 The entire pipe line before actual commissioning shall be thoroughly disinfected and flushed in accordance with standard practice.
18 The contractor shall endorse the order placed to the principal manufacturers i.e. the quantity order and also the dispatch documents by the principal manufacturer to the supplier to ascertain the
quality of the material.
19 Welding
(a) The electrodes to be used for welding shall confirm to IS: 814-1991 latest with upto date amendments and shall be of over cord type of Advani/Oerlikon make.
(b) Slipon flanges shall be welded on the pipes with size of the leg of fillet weld equal to 1.4(T), where "T" is the thickness of pipes.
(c ) Seal welding shall be provided to all flanges with at least two passes using 3mm electrodes.
20 Flanges: Flanges with nut and bolts will be confirming to IS: 6392-1971 latest with upto date amendments and table as indicated in the schedule of quantity.
21 Gaskets:- Compressed asbestos fiber 3mm thick shall confirm to IS: 2712-1979 latest with upto date amendments of Hindustan/Farrado make and ISI marked
22 The firm shall quote rate for the required thickness as provided in the schedule of quantity.
23 In case MSERW pipes of required thickness stipulated in the schedule of quantity are not in the manufacturing range, the firm may quote rate for (+/-) tolerance as approved by ISI. But nothing extra
shall be paid for (+) side tolerance. The rate for (-) side tolerance will be decided accordingly. In case the pipes are supplied in (-) side tolerance, recovery will be effected for the difference of weight of
pipes required and pipes supplied on the basis of their rates.

24 The contractor from RITES, 2. Detnorsake Varits 3. Bureau, Varitas 4. SGS 5. M/s qualilty Service & Solution, New Delhi will carry out third part inspection of MSERW pipes and the charges on
account of such inspection shall be paid by the contractor.
25 The item of providing, laying & jointing of pipes shall be measured and paid including all bends, short pieces, nipples & tee etc.
26 The butt welding shall be done in three layers as follow with the specification:-
(i) Root layer
(ii) Filler coat
(iii) Seal coat
27 After the root coat the testing of pipes shall be done with DPT (Die penetration test) on each joint to ensure that there is no leakage.
General Conditions
(a) Issue of material :-
(i) Cement
At issue rate of Rs. 289/- per bag from IPH Divisional Store Thunag on proper indent for which recovery will be made from each bill.
(ii) Tor steel

4 Providing , laying, fixing, jointing and testing in trenches MS pipe of following dia meters
confirming to BIS 3183-2007, of following grade and having wall thickness as specified
below with plain end and capable of withstanding required test pressure in random length
of 4 to 7 meters, including specials, short pieces, bends, reducers, tees etc. made from
parent tube, providing and welding of MS flanges detailed as below. The MS flanges
shall confirm to BIS 6392-1971 (with latest up to date amendments) duly welded in two
layers (two inner and two outer) with pipes at both ends as per relevant BIS standards
along with nuts and bolts of required sizes, 3mm thick compressed asbestos fiber/synthetic
rubber gaskets confirming to relevant BIS standards. The laying of pipe will include all
operation such as cutting, welding, jointing, providing & fixing of MS flanges, fabrication of
bends, tees etc. including lowering and laying in excavated trenches to ensure required
level including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects to the
satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts
having its radius not less than five times the dia of pipe. The pipes shall be factory
galvanized (zinc coating both inside and outside) as per relevant IS standards and the
damaged portion of the pipes and specials made form the parent tube shall be provided

random length of 4 to 7 meters, including manufacturing reducers/ tapers , all short pieces,
beds etc. as per site requirement made from parent tubes . The laying of pipe will include
all operation such as cutting, welding, jointing, fabrication of bends, tees etc. including
lowering and laying in excavated trenches to ensure required level including flushing,
cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects to the satisfaction of the Engineer in
charge. The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts having its radius not less than
five times the dia of pipe. The pipes shall be factory galvanized (zinc coating both inside
and outside) as per relevant IS standards and the damaged portion of the pipes and

4 Laying, laying, jointing and testing in trenches GMS pipe of following diameter confirming to
BIS 1239 (part 1) of following grade and having wall thickness as specified below with plain

including specials, short pieces, bends, reducers, tees etc. made from parent tube,
providing and welding of MS flanges detailed as below. The MS flanges shall confirm to
BIS 6392-1971 (with latest upto date amendments) duly welded in two layers (two inner

Terms and conditions
1 The firm shall forward a copy of supply order/indent placed by it for the supply of pumps and motors on the manufactures/ authorized dealers of the pumps
and motors to the consignee within 30 days after issue of the letter of intent/ award by the Engineer-in-Charge. The copy of supply order/indent to the
consignee should also accompany the dealership certificate of the dealer for the pumping machinery in case the pumps and motors are arranged from the
authorised dealers.

2 The firm shall arrange dispatch of offered pumps and motors to the consignee direct from the manufacturers/ their authorized dealer of the pumping
machinery for which the supply order/ indent has been placed by the firm. The packing slip should indicate the details of materials in the package and
material of construction of pumps and motors.

3 The shop test for the pumps and motors shall be carried out at manufactures works in the presence of representative of the department as per IS: 325-
1978. The test performance certificate of the pumping machinery shall be arranged by the firm from the manufactures and get it approved from the
Engineer-in-Charge before actual dispatch of the pumping machinery.
4 The firm shall supply the recommended list of spares and quantities required for normal working of pumping machinery (2 years) from the manufactures of
the aforesaid equipment at the time of quoting rates and shall quote item rates for the same also.
5 The firm shall supply the manufactures manual for the operation and maintenance of the pumping equipment.

6 The firm shall arrange operation and maintenance training to the operating staff for the pumping machinery (without extra cost) for a period of 7 days i.e.
during the testing period.

7 The Characteristic curves of the pumping equipment shall be uploaded with the offer.

8 The firm shall supply layout drawing in respect of various components, such as suction pipes, valves, cable, trenches, control panel etc. from the foot valve
location to the common header to be connected with rising main. The details of foundations required for various components shall also be supplied by the
firm within 30 days of the letter of intent/ award.

9 The installation of pumping machinery above 100 HP shall be inspected by the technical representative of the manufacturers of rank not less than that of a
services Engineer, at the work site and inspection certificate shall be supplied to the Engineer-in-Charge. This inspection shall be in addition to the test
report and nothing extra shall be paid on this account.

10 The wiring and installation of electric equipment shall be as per HPSEB rules and regulations & subjected to the approval of the Chief Electrical Inspector
and or his authorized officer. Any defect pointed out shall be rectified by the firm without any extra cost. The wiring and installation of all electric equipment
shall be done by a licensed contractor of approved class of HPSEB and test report shall be got accepted from the HPSEB authorities on their approved
format (form D) for release of power connection by the firm without extra cost.

11 The temporary electrical connection, if required during installation shall be arranged by the firm at its own cost and energy charges shall also be paid
directly by the firm to the HPSEB.

12  Prices of all the items shall be FOR site of work inclusive of all leads and lifts and shall be inclusive of all charges of transportation insurance, packing,
taxes and duties such as sales tax excise duty, GST and local taxes etc.
13 The rates shall be quoted only on B.O.Q.
14 The location of site can be ascertained from the concerned Assistant Engineer and the rates quoted by the firm shall be inclusive of all mechanical and
manual transport within all leads and lifts to the site of work.
15 All the equipment/ material shall conform to the relevant BIS specifications wherever applicable and in its absence to any accepted National/ International
standards.
16 The general specifications of the work shall conform to HPPWD/Punjab PWD specifications as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

17 The validity of the tender shall be not less than 120 days.
18 All the equipments shall be guaranteed against any manufacturing defect including metallurgy and its performance for a period of 12 (twelve) months from
the date of commissioning/ 18 (eighteen) months from the date of supply which ever is earlier. Any defect, if noticed within the stipulated period shall be
rectified by the firm at its own cost within 15 days of bringing the same to its notice. The guarantee clause shall be substantiated by a guarantee bond of a
Nationalized Bank for an amount equal to the cost of pumping and electric equipment (accessories included) pledged in the name of the Executive
Engineer-in-charge at the time of applying for refund of security deposits. The guarantee bound shall be released after the expiry of the guarantee period.

19 The installed pumping machinery and other allied accessories shall be tested daily for stipulated pumping hours and the NIT fir a period of 7 days without
extra cost. However, the cost of electricity and water shall be borne by the department. During the guarantee period if any efficiency of the pumping and
electric equipments should not vary beyond the range of (+/-) 2.5%. During guarantee period the efficiency falls beyond 2.5% to a maximum of 5%, 1%
cost of the pump set for 1% fall of the efficiency shall be deducted. In case of fall of effiency beyond 5% the pump sets shall be rejected and cost of the
effected pump set recovered from the pledged bank guarantee and or from the security deposit as the case may be.

20 80% (Eighty percent) payment of the cost of pumping machinery and equipment less 10% security and other statutory recovery shall be made after receipt
of complete pumping machinery i.e. pump and motors received together at site of work in good condition. The balance 20% cost after deduction of the
security and other recoveries shall be released after successful and satisfactory installation, testing of the entire equipment. Ten percent security deposit
shall be released as stipulated in the agreement.

21 90% (Ninety percent) installation charges shall be released after satisfactory installation of all the pumping and electrical equipment. Remaining 10% of
installation charges shall be released after testing of the entire equipment.
22 The contractor will provide complete detail of make and model of pumping machinhery alongwith rating of pumping machinery, make/rating and size of all
electro-mechnical and piping system.
23 The contractor/firm will engage professtionals who have requisite qualification/sufficient experience in operation of pumping machinery and should be able
to understand the device/directions from the department officers. The firm shall submit to the department the name, qualification and experience of his
professional deployed.

24 The contractor/firm shall fulfill/satisfy all conditions of labour department as per labour laws and shall be responsible for any labour complaints.
25 Log Book for each pump shall be maintained separately for regular record of time and hours of run, discharge shall be kept by the contractor/firm and got it
checked from the Engineer-in-charge fortnightly.
Rising main
1 The alignment of pipe line is subject to change as per site conditions. Most suitable and technically feasible alignment as per directions of Engineer-in-
charge shall be followed at site and nothing extra shall be paid beyond the approved rates.
2 All machinery/equipment required for laying of pipes shall be arranged by the contractor/firms.
3 The firm has to give its working schedule for various components before start of work and get same approved from Engineer-in-charge.

4 The measurement for providing, laying and jointing of pipes laid shall be made only after the same is tested as per technical requirements. The back filling
shall be allowed only after the said testing.
5 L-sections/plan of the pipe line can be seen in the Divisional office at any working day.
6 The firm shall make all the arrangements for woking in night hours( if required) at its own cost.

7 Any damages caused to any structure during the execution of work by the firms will be restored to its original conditions by the firm/contractor at its own
cost.
8 The rates of all items should be inclusive of the carriage of all the material within all lead and lifts to the site of works.
9 The work shall be executed as per BIS codes. PWD specification/recommendation of manu8al on water supply and treatment and to the entire satisfaction
of the Engineer-in-charge.
10 The pipe shall be inspected by the Inspecting Oficer appointed by the Engineer-in-charge before dispatch of it from the manufacturer works at the cost of
the contractor.

11 The contractor will be responsible for watch and ward of materials at site of work.
12 Statement of length where the pipe is not buried under ground due to rocky strata shall be attacahed with every bill for the inspection of the Engineer-in-
charge.
13 The pipe will be got tested from the Engineer-in-charge before laying and the under specification pipe will be rejected and nothing will be paid to the
contractor for the same.
14 Before the pipe is lowered into the trenches, it should be ensured that even bedding is provided for pipe line. The pipe shall be lowered progressibly with
the help of necessary tools as per site conditions. Care be taken to see the longitudinal seam on the consecutive pipe are staggered by at last 30 degree
and should keep in the upper 1/3 radian of the pipe.

15 All pipe shall under go mil test pressure and tensile test at manufacturers works as per standard and a certificate to this effect shall be provided by the
contractor before the relase of the first installment of payment.

16 The hydraulic test pressure after laying shall not be less than 2.25 time the actual working pressure.

17 The entire pipe line before actual commissioning shall be thoroughly disinfected and flushed in accordance with standard practice.

18 The contractor shall endorse the order placed to the principal manufacturers i.e. the quantity order and also the dispatch documents by the principal
manufacturer to the supplier to ascertain the quality of the material.
19 Welding
(a) The electrodes to be used for welding shall confirm to IS: 814-1991 latest with upto date amendments and shall be of over cord type of Advani/Oerlikon
make.
(b) Slipon flanges shall be welded on the pipes with size of the leg of fillet weld equal to 1.4(T), where "T" is the thickness of pipes.
(c ) Seal welding shall be provided to all flanges with at least two passes using 3mm electrodes.
20 Flanges: Flanges with nut and bolts will be confirming to IS: 6392-1971 latest with upto date amendments and table as indicated in the schedule of
quantity.
21 Gaskets:- Compressed asbestos fiber 3mm thick shall confirm to IS: 2712-1979 latest with upto date amendments of Hindustan/Farrado make and ISI
marked

22 The firm shall quote rate for the required thickness as provided in the schedule of quantity.

23 In case MSERW pipes of required thickness stipulated in the schedule of quantity are not in the manufacturing range, the firm may quote rate for (+/-)
tolerance as approved by ISI. But nothing extra shall be paid for (+) side tolerance. The rate for (-) side tolerance will be decided accordingly. In case the
pipes are supplied in (-) side tolerance, recovery will be effected for the difference of weight of pipes required and pipes supplied on the basis of their rates.

24 The contractor from RITES, 2. Detnorsake Varits 3. Bureau, Varitas 4. SGS 5. M/s qualilty Service & Solution, New Delhi will carry out third part inspection
of MSERW pipes and the charges on account of such inspection shall be paid by the contractor.
25 The item of providing, laying & jointing of pipes shall be measured and paid including all bends, short pieces, nipples & tee etc.

26 The butt welding shall be done in three layers as follow with the specification:-
(i) Root layer
(ii) Filler coat
(iii) Seal coat
27 After the root coat the testing of pipes shall be done with DPT (Die penetration test) on each joint to ensure that there is no leakage.
General Conditions
(a) Issue of material
(i) Cement
At issue rate of Rs. 289/- per bag from IPH Divisional Store Thunag on proper indent for which recovery will be made from each bill.
(ii) Tor steel
All required dia at issue rate of Rs. 5000/- per quintal from IPH Divisional Store Thunag on proper indents for which recovery will be made from each bill.

(iii) GI pipes
Free of cost from IPH Divisional Store Thunag on proper indents.
(b) The contractor shall be responsible for watch and ward of material issued to him and in the event of any theft or loss, the recovery will be made at the
double cost of store issue rates.
( c) The rates should be inclusive of carrage of all material to the site of work in all leads and lifts.
(d) The rates should be inclusive of GST.
( e) The concrete should be volume batched, mechanically mixed and vibrated for which nothing extra shall be paid
(f) Only mechanically crushed stone aggregate shall be used in concerete work.
(g) The contractor shall submit the details of quarry from where the procurement of material is intended. The decision of Engineer-in-charge shall be final in
selection of quarry and contractor will bring the material from that approved quarry.

(h) The work should be executed as per HPPWD specifications, as per recommendation of CPHEEO Manual on water supply and as per relevant IS code and
specifications.
(i) 1% (one percent) Labour Cess (Non refundable) will be deducted on gross amount from each bill besides, other deductions such as Income Tax,
Surcharge on Income Tax and Sale Tax etc.
(j) If any condition of NIT is contradictory to each other, then the contractor shall bring it to the notice of the Engineer-in-charge. The decision of the Engineer-
in-charge shall be final.
