CASE SCENARIO:

On October 15, 2010 an unidentified female cadaver wearing a Bench blouse color
black, white pants and black rubber shoes with a white handbag beside her (victim) was
found along Barangay San Idelfonso, Calumpit Bulacan. The cadaver was found by one
GUILLERMO BACASIL Y HAMIAS, 45 years old, married a businessman and resident of #8
Guatemala St., Garden Ville Subdivision, Barangay San Idelfonso, Calumpit, Bulacan at
about 6:00 AM of the same date while having morning jog. Mr. BACASIL immediately
proceeded to the Barangay Hall of San Idelfonso just a few meters away from the crime
scene where he reported the incident to the Barangay Chairman identified as
HERMOGENES DIAZ y DESIDERIO who in turn reported it to Calumpit Municipal Police
Station.
Chairman DIAZ together with Mr. BACASIL and other barangay security force
personnel boarded their patrol car and proceeded at the crime scene. Upon arrival they saw
the lifeless body of the victim with gunshot wound on her face lying flat on her back on the
pavement with her hand back beside her.
Few minutes later Police Officers from local police station headed by the Chief of
Police, together with The Chief, Station Investigation section and investigator-on-case
arrived followed by the arrival of the SOCO Team from PRO3.
After processing the crime scene the SOCO operative turned over the same to the
investigator-on-case with the following pieces of evidence:
One (1) female cadaver between the age 55 to 60 years old, about 5 feet 2 inches in
height, clad in black Bench blouse and white pants with black rubber shoes and with wound
on her right cheek believed to be caused by gunshot.

One (1) White Loui Vitton Handbag containing:


 Assorted Identification cards with victim’s photo but written in foreign letters;
 One Japan Airline Claim Stub with name MASAYOSHI HAKONABE with
Philippine address at Unit 40 Renaissance Towers, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City
who arrived in Manila on October 10, 2010;
 Fifty (50) Thousand Pesos cash in different denominations;
 Ten (10) Thousand Yen;
 Two (2) empty shell of .45 cal firearm;

INITIAL INFORMATION ON THE CASE


The victim is MASAYOSHI HAKONABE from Okinawa Japan with Philippine address
at Unit 40 Renaissance Towers, Meralco Ave, Pasig City who arrived in Manila on 10 Oct
2010.
She (victim) was a wealthy heiress who owns vast property and business in Okinawa
Japan and is here in the Philippines for a business hunt.
She stays in Manila with her daughter MASAKO TAKAYASHI at Renaissance
Towers.
The victim is married to but separated to his husband identified as TADAO KENATO
a businessman from Nagasake Japan who arrived in Manila on October 7, 2010 and staying
at Robinsons Towers, Mandaluyong City.
The victim’s driver ROGELIO PASTERO y TORRES, 40 years old, single but with
common-law-wife and residing at #5 Callos St., Barangay Pinahan, Quezon City claimed to
have picked-up the victim and her daughter, MASAKO TAKAYASHI, in front of Renaissance
Towers at about 4:00 PM and dropped the victim at SM Mega Mall and immediately entered
the mall at about 4:30 PM. Driver ROGELIO PASTERO y TORRES and victim’s daughter
left M Mega Mall and headed for Makati.
A Barangay Security Force identified as HILARIO MAGCINO y CUSTODIO of legal
age and a resident of Sitio Paterno, Barangay San Idelfonso, Calumpit, Bulacan who was
duty at the Barangay Hall claimed that at about 11:00 PM of October 14, 2010 he heard two
successive gunshots coming from the crime scene area but he just ignored.

One JOSHUA POLICARPIO y BANTAG 19 years old, out-of-school youth and


resident of #9 Daang-Bakal, Barangay bSan Idelfonso, Calumpit, Bulacan averred that at
about 11:00 PM of October 14, 2010 he was walking home from a birthday party when he
saw one color white van and one color red car, plate number of which he failed to get, ran
fast coming from the crime scene and headed towards the highway and got lost under the
cover of darkness.
