The main theme of this poem is “Nature”. Because first, second and third stanza talks about nature.
“The sun went down for the night to cover” means God controls everything with perfect time
(Khan, l 1). There has no disturbance in nature. “Like dark clouds pattering the aroma of earth”
means when bad news is spread quickly from person to person (Khan, l 5). In this line, dark
clouds are compared to Bad news, and Aroma of the earth is compared to spread quickly the bad
news. Every line has a different meaning.

The symbol of this poem is sketch. the sketch is attached to the emotional feelings of human
beings. when the artist draws a picture of a human, the picture will be more beautiful according
to his/her perspective. In this poem, coal is compared to paper, and the white of the moon is
compared to how much beautiful art. when sketched coal put on the white of the moon, the
Sketch was more beautiful. The sorrow, rage, happy of humans is shown on the sketch.

“The Raven” was written by Edgar Allen Poe who was a famous poet. In this poem, he was
waiting for her wife because her wife was dead for a long time. He was missing her. It is natural.
“The Raven” and this poem have some similarities. Both poems talk about nature and love.
In This poem, love indicates love for nature. On the other hand, Raven's poem love indicates
love for human beings. Her husband did not take his wife sudden death. He loved a lot his wife.

“Diving into Wreck” was written by Adrienne Rich who was a famous poet. This poem mainly
talks about the explore under the ocean for the past wreck. In this poem, the speaker also talks
about feminism because she always works for the women who are deprived of getting the right.
She even explores on the sea for the past wreck. She tells the readers women are not weak in
physically and mentally. She shows all nations, women are not deprived of. They do everything
to complete the task. Now they are more beneficial to get the job. The men and women have an
equal right for livelihood.
On the other hand, “Theme for English B” was written by Langston Hughes who was a great
poet. In this poem, the speaker talks about the African American people who were deprived of
getting the right. the speaker also was a black person. But in his class white people cannot see
black people. Black people always have a limit right. There has no opportunity to do anything
freely and also have no freedom to speech.
“Diving into Wreck” and “theme for English B” have some similarities. the information is given
below:
Both poems talk about minority people like women and African Americans who are deprived of
getting right. these people are an ignorant segment of the people.
“Diving into Wreck” poem, women are treated as a slave. On the other hand, “theme for English
B” poem, African American people are treated like an animal by the majority of people who are
white people. Both poems talk about the problem of society.
