Change in employment
My father might not be renewed in his current employment. He would have served as School Director for six
years on November 2018. Renewal of contract is not automatic; hence, he is not assured to be renewed.

Exceptional medical or dental expenses

My mother was diagnosed of hyperthyroidism in 2001 and underwent radioactive therapy. Currently, she has
regular maintenance for her medicines as the illness has been recurring.

Siblings in private school

My elder brother would be studying in a private school to enroll in BS Psychology since he got a scholarship
grant for tuition fees. However, since it is a private school, other expenses such as board and lodging, daily
allowance, books, transportation, etc. might cause financial drain to the family. Since I have two younger sibli
ngs, I anticipate for more expenses when they reach college two years after my enrollment.

Catastrophic Event or Natural Disaster

Our region was badly hit by Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. Subsequently, there were massive flooding and earthqu
akes. Such calamities caused so much devastation and loss of our property which drained the finances of ou
r family. Calamities frequently hit our region which affect badly our resources.
Eldercare expenses
As our parents are getting older, we are afraid that the family might incur so much expenses for possible hos
pitalization and medication few years from now. The only medical benefit ready is the government health ins
urance which may not suffice their needs.

Financial support of other family members

Since both my parents come from poor families, they are obliged to extend support every now and then our r
elatives need support for medical care, education, or even foods on the table. Hence, such support can som
etimes deplete our resources.

Non-recurring income or expenses

There are expenses which are unexpected such as payments for examinations, special tutorials, educational
tours, family getaway, medical support and outreaches.
