Mayor Lori Lightfoot

121 N La Salle Street
Room 507
Chicago, Illinois 60602

Dear Mayor Lightfoot,

RANCH Triangle Association was delighted to learn after your election about your plan to create a 14 person Lincoln Yards
Community Advisory Committee of residents and parties directly impacted by the 55 acre development. Several members
of our Board of Directors as well as community residents followed the suggested guidelines to join this much anticipated
group.

As you may know, RANCH Triangle Conservation Association, is an established 60 year volunteer community organization
dedicated to preserving residents’ property values and quality of life.

We have a track record of working closely with the long list of Aldermen who have represented our area. While ward
boundaries have shifted over the decades, RANCH Triangle has been an abiding presence in the neighborhood. We have no
other focus than representing our community.

Most importantly, RANCH Triangle, is the closest neighbor to Lincoln Yards. It is literally within our community boundaries.
More than other surrounding community, RANCH is most directly affected by this once-in-a-generation development.
Imagine our dismay to learn that, after so many years of struggle to get accurate information and maintain a voice in this
mega-development, not one member of our community group, or resident within the boundaries of RANCH Triangle, was
included on the Advisory Committee.

To exclude our community from this group needlessly tarnishes the good work that we hope will be done by the Lincoln
Yards Community Advisory Committee. Further, it undermines the on-going positive relationship between Lincoln Yards and
its nearest neighbor that will be necessary in the years to come.

We appeal to your sense of fairness and trust this situation can and will be swiftly remedied.

Very truly yours,

David Lissner
