SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROJECT

Organization : Indian Air Force, BRD 7, Tuglakabad, New Delhi

Title : Study on Radio fuze on SAM III missile.
Duration : June 2018 (1month)

Training Undertaken:

 Learnt about assembly techniques and maintenance process of missile system of SAM III missile.
 Learnt about the operation of guidance system and arrangement of radio fuze as well as
installation of antenna in missile.
 Design parameters and mode of operation of radio fuze.
 Reviewed the working of HOBO (bomb disposal robot).

MAJOR PROJECT

Title : A Novel technique to detect the target in non-coherent medium using RADAR and
MATLAB
Mentor : Dr. Sudhir Kumar Chaturvedi (Astt. Proff.)
Description: We develop and investigate several novel multi-resolution algorithms to detect
target in non coherent sources in which amplitude and phase of the emitted light waves
fluctuate randomly in space and time.
On the basis of recorded data we apply some algorithms for target detection using
MATLAB simulation .This forms the synthetic antenna aperture, and allows it to create
finer resolution image than what would be possible with the given physical antenna
aperture

 MINOR PROJECT

Title : Unmanned aerial vehicle for mapping using Kinect.

Mentor : Dr. Vindhya Devalla (Astt. Proff.)
Description : Mapping with Kinect have presented advantage in mapping and cost and payload
effective when compared with more standard methods.
In this approach Map building is being performed using Open source ROS and real time
simulator Gazebo.3D point cloud is being Generated using RGB-D information provided
by Kinect sensor and acquired by ROS environment.

Description : Volume estimation are crucial in many of the surveying practices and that too achieving
efficiently and accurate is a practically important practice. Due to increased accessibility of
low cost UAV, this innovation has revolutionize numerous industries including volume
estimation. Volumetric accuracies were assessed by comparing collected data of various
heaps and it was 98.64% accurate.
