Mindful Moments For Kids and Adults
Each newsletter I will add a few ideas for families to use to take a moment and breathe. In
this stressful time we may miss opportunities to relax which can lead to burnout. This is a
marathon not a sprint...we will get there together.

This month my students have
been focusing on perspective
and Random Acts of Kindness.
Here are the top 10 suggested
by our own MRH students:

1. Call a relative and say HI!

2. Draw pictures and leave in
older neighbors mailboxes.

3. Pay for someone's
Starbucks or leave change at
QT.

4. Rake leaves or shovel snow
without being asked.

5. Give a compliment to
someone on zoom today.

6. Pick up litter on your walk
or at the park.

7. Write a thank you note.

8. Write a compliment note
and leave it for someone with
amazing holiday lights.

9. Pick a few toys that are no
longer played with to pass on
to another family or donate.

10. Wave and Scream “Thank you!” to our sanitation and delivery drivers. They need
a lot of holiday cheer right now!

Don’t forget your daily gratitude practice.

The Crisis Nursery has been
open throughout the pandemic
and we plan to remain open for
anyone who needs our help --
parents or caregivers who are
experiencing overwhelming
stress. Crisis Nursery provides
a short-term, safe haven for
5,000 children a year, birth
through age 12, whose families
face an emergency caused by illness, homelessness,
domestic violence or overwhelming parental stress.
Please spread the word about the Crisis Nursery. You
never know who may need to hear that there are kind,
non-judgmental people standing by who want to help 24
hours a day, 365 days a year.
