A COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH FOR AIRFLOW MANAGEMENT

The Ultimate Solution in Comprehensive
Laboratory Airflow Management.

The SmartLab Solution is a comprehensive laboratory management program that begins by understanding
the current posture of installations and discussing various new design applications via a consultative
assessment audit. The results of the assessment audit will allow Tek-Air to define the correct engineered
product system to maximize safety and minimize energy consumption at the most economical cost.
Information is power to the owners of today's laboratories. The Tek-Air SmartLab Solution will provide users
with a local user interface for programming, archiving and reporting of critical laboratory ventilation control
parameters. The most effective means of seamless integration of critical data to the facility's building
automation system will be employed. Once a SmartLab engineered system is installed and commissioned,
Tek-Air will propose an on-going "state of control" testing services program to maintain the integrity of the
installed system.

SmartLab User Interface

The SmartLab system is configured using a Windows-based software developed by
Tek-Air. The program runs on a standard personal computer. It features a basic
menu screen for local viewing, archiving and report generation of critical room
parameters. A dedicated SmartLab User Interface network computer allows
access to all room information on the Smartlab network, as well as providing the
gateway for integration to any Building Automation System network.

The SmartLab User Interface program offers maximum flexibility in individual room
information viewing, archiving and reporting via installation onto any individual per-
sonal computer. The access port for individual room information is the SmartLab LIM.

A Unique, Patented Approach to Airflow Management

The SmartLab System reflects the three key Vortex Shedding

principles of Tek-Air's approach to airflow
management:
• If a parameter is important, measure it directly.
Whether it's face velocity, airflow volume or
pressure, if a parameter is important enough to
control, it should be measured directly. Tek-Air
doesn't believe in inferential measurements.
