COURSE TITLE: PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION


DESCRIPTION:
This course let learners strengthen their communication skills. The course is also designed for everyone who wishes to be an effective
communicator of ideas and for various reasons in communication. This course provide key concepts and practical examples for communicating ideas
with others.

• Develop appropriate frameworks within which learners can make decisions on the various aspects of communication.

• Define the meaning of communication, its principles, processes, ethics, verbal and nonverbal communication;
• Know the different types of communication;
• Use the different types of communicatipon with ease and confidence;
• Understand what is verbal and non verbal communication;
• Learn language-based barriers in communication;
• Recognize the importance of listening;
• Utalize technology to communicate effectively in groups.

PRELIM (Class Standing x2) + Prelims = PRELIM GRADE

COURSE POLICIES:
1. A sudent will be dropped from the class if he or her absences exceeded 20% of the total class hours.
2. Six incidences of tardiness will be equivalent to one absence.
3. Use of any gadget in the class is prohibited unless required by the instructor.
4. Submission of written outputs should only be made on or before the deadine.
5. Academic dishonesty like cheating in any examination, plagiarism and the like will be penalized in the SIBTECH Student Handbook.
