GOOD NEWS FOR AMATEUR ARTISTS!

Members of the Artists Association of America (AAA) will be hosting an animation film contest
for nonprofessional animators. The purpose of this national competition is to improve their
artistry to be competitive with other participants and to encourage contestants to expose their
own work to the public. Their work will be judged based on creativity and artistry. Therefore,
each entry must be original and unique. Also, the length of the movie is not restricted.

Every artist in the country is eligible to enter this contest. However, professional animators,
especially those employed in broadcasting corporations, are not eligible to enter the contest. We
will follow a one-person, one-entry policy. You may send your entries on or before May 10 by
mail together with the application form which you can download from our website indicated
above. After a thorough evaluation, a panel of judges who are known for their expertise in the
field of animation art will choose the winner on May 12. Then there will be a big event on May
15 where the host of the contest will announce the lucky artist who will receive the grand prize
of $500,000. Non-winners will get gift certificates from the AAA.
