Kidnapped at School
Alisa Ali, 12, daughter of Marabella businessman was kidnapped yesterday.
As she was late to return home, parents searched for her at possible locations and made several calls. They contacted the
school’s principal and were informed that she left school early with a friend of theirs due to a family emergency. They were not
aware of any family emergency and then informed the TTPS.
Officials from the Marabella Police Station visited the school and spoke to the staff. The clerk, Karina Ramlal told the officers
that a man claimed to be a family member and said that there was an urgent family emergency. Alisa packed her bag and left the
school’s compound with him. Ramlal said, “He was a tall multiracial man with curly hair. He was dressed in a formal attire.”
Margaret Mohammed, the guard said, “They took off in a black Hilux.” The parents of the child believed that kidnapper is Kevin
Rampersad, a former employee who is upset and holds a grudge against them.
A case has been filed at the Marabella Police Station. The officer in charge said that they were doing their best to catch up with
the kidnapper. The officers made several checks for CCTV footage obtained from nearby businesses in the area and last known
residence of the suspected kidnapper. No word had been received about Ali or any ransom demanded by her kidnapper for her safe
return as yet.
