Introduction and Objective

The project was given so as to implement a network

diagram in a building with four (4) different
Department, Accounting Department, Research
Department, Personnel Department and Marketing
Department using the software, Ms visio.
In the design as a Team, we decided to use devices like
switch, router, etc.
However, Some of these devices are often used when
building a network. However, the functions of the
devices are also explained
1
Problem Specification
• The company contains 80 employees;
• Each employee has been provided a computer;
• The company contains 4 departments : Accounting Department,
Marketing Department, Personnel Department and Research
Department;
• All employees in the company are allowed go onto the Internet
• All employees are able to access laser printer;

2
Working Schedule

With all of those challenges or problems we faced, we

were able to allocate two days in the week (Wednesday
and Friday) that was suitable for 70% of our group
members each day.
In those days, we meet to implement the project; we
made research and asked people that we thought they
could help, and they give their input.

Network Design

4
Design Specification

In our implementation, we decided to use Class C

Address but knowing that we were to be wasting IPs,
we sub netted as network engineers.
We use various devices such as: switch, Patch panel,
wireless Access point, sever etc.

5
Sub netting Method
Subnetting for 80 Host

Network Address Default subnet mask

192.168.1.0/24 ----- 255.255.255.0

11111111.11111111.11111111.00000000
128
11111111.11111111.11111111.10000000
255.255.255.128 ------ New Subnet mask
2n-2 = 27-2 = 126 ------ Number of Usable Host

Networks after subnetting

Network Address Broadcast Address

1. 192.168.1.0/25 – 192.168.1.127/25
6
2. 192.168.1.128/25 – 192.168.1.255/25
Conclusion

In conclusion, the design of this project

will reduce cost on the company and to
make job easy and smooth.
our team saw the project to be very
important for the Net class, especially
students wanting to specialize in Network
