Serum, Bharat Biotech jointly pledge for smooth

"Adar Poonawala and Krishna Ella, jointly on behalf of the two companies, today
communicated their combined intent to develop, manufacture and supply the Covid-19
vaccines for India and globally," the statement read.

New Delhi: Serum Institute and


Bharat Biotech on Tuesday issued a
joint statement pledging to provide
their Covid-19 vaccines to India and
globally.

"Adar Poonawala and Krishna Ella,

Poonawalla had earlier said that Covishield’s emergency use approval was
granted on the condition that the company does not export the shots to
ensure enough stockpile for India.

Covishield and Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin have both got emergency use
approval in India as of this week.
