Volunteering Unit 3

A. You are going to create and conduct a survey on volunteering and voluntary work to
find out what your classmates think about the topic.
Step 1: (15 minutes)
• Get into groups of approximately five members each.
• Choose a group leader to help you delegate work among every group member in
your group.
– As a group, come up with three questions that you would like to ask another group about
volunteering and voluntary work.
– Decide who each group member in your group will interview in the other group.
– Set a time to finish interviewing the other group. Come back together, share and analyse
the information you found out individually.
• Choose a timekeeper to help you manage time effectively and finish conducting
your survey on time.
Step 2: (10 minutes)
• Conduct the survey
Step 3: (20 minutes)
• Gather results and draw conclusions.
• Create a presentation to present your findings to the class. An option would be to
create a PowerPoint presentation or perhaps even make a “movie” with the help
of “Movie maker” to help the class understand your findings and draw the
necessary conclusions.
