LEARNING OUTLINES:

Taboo game
1. A PowerPoint presentation is shown with a noun related to the story on each
slide.
Pre Lesson
2. One pupil comes to the front of the room and sits with his back to the PPT.
3. The rest of the pupils take turn describing the words on the slides and the pupils
at the front has to guess the words.

Lesson
Development Hot Seat
1. Pupils sit in two big circles and one pupil sits in the middle of the circle.
2. The pupil is given a scene, a character or an object.
3. Pupils take turns to ask questions about the scene, character or object.
4. The pupil who sits in the middle can only answer yes or no.
5. The winner is the one who guesses it correctly.
6. Continue another round with another pupil sits in the middle of the circle.

Tell Me A Story
1. Pupils play in small groups of five and arrange their seats in a circle.
2. Start with the pupil who is the youngest in the group.
3. Pupils roll dice and tell the story by using the character they land on.
4. Each pupil gives maximum three sentences to tell the story and the sequence
goes clockwise.
5. Pupils have to talk in first person narration according to the story. They are
allowed to add suitable scenes, opinions or feelings to the story.
6. Guidance is given to the pupils who are not able to express properly.

Differentiation Strategies:
a. Task
 Low: Use simple sentences
 Mid: Use compound sentences
 High: Use complex sentences

Exit Card
Post Lesson 1. Pupils express their views about the lesson using exit cards.
2. They may use the phrases like I believe/think/suppose/in my opinion to explain.
