Question 3 (CW) : Write a story of a boy who worked hard to become successful.

End your story with “ … and he was glad that he achieved his dream . ”

There was a boy that lived in Milli Town . The boy’s name was Josh and he was
actually counted as an orphan . He did not have a lovely family because his mother
abandoned him after she divorced with Josh’s father . Josh’s father was an irresponsible
man and this was one of the reasons why he got divorced by his wife . He liked to drink beer
and got drunk almost everyday . He also did not go to work as he felt lazy and he did not
want to take care of his son , Josh . Josh’s father has a very terrible lifestyle . He liked
gambling and lost lots of money . Then , he got tons of debt that needed to be paid back .
Josh was very pitiful as he needed to carry these debts for his father .

Josh was just a 17 years old boy but he had more problems to be faced compared
with the peers . He needed to go to school in the morning and then he had to go to work in
the night time . He had no choice but to work hard just because that person was his father .
They have blood connections which cannot be broken easily . He has totally different
personalities from his father . He was a responsible and kind hearted boy . Although he
faced lots of problems , still he always thought positively . He believed that as long as he
worked hard , he would get what he wanted . He believed in God and God would prepare a
pathway for him in his future life .

Josh has a dream which is that he wanted to become a doctor after he completed his
studies . He knew that studying medical courses needed much money compared with other
courses . Yet , he was willing to study hard and work hard just to get a scholarship and
money to pay his father debts . The teachers in the school knew about Josh’s situation and
they tried to raise funds for Josh to help to clear his father's debt . Josh refused to get help
from his teachers as he thought that it was his responsibility to help his father clear the debt
but not his teachers responsibility . A few months later , Josh managed to clear his father's
debt and then he could focus on his studies . He only went to work during the weekend as
he needed to get brilliant results so that he could get a scholarship to study medical course
to fulfill his dream as a doctor .

At the end of the year , he passed his final exam and he got flying colours results .
He managed to get a full scholarship due to his amazing results . He got an offer from
Harvard University , United States to study in their school . Josh felt excited and quickly
accepted the offer . His teachers and friends congratulated him on being able to get good
results and offer letters from the top university . He went back home and thought about his
study aboard life in the United States for a few years . His father knew about this good news
and gave him a hug as a point of congratulation to Josh . His father changed a lot after the
incident . He renewed his whole life by not gambling and getting drunk anymore . He got a
job and he can take good care of himself . He told Josh not to worry about him .
 Everything was good until the day before he departed to the United States . His
mother came back to find him and requested him to not go overseas to study . She
kidnapped him with moral values that children must always respect and took good care of
their parents . She has cancer and she wanted her son to accompany her till she died . Josh
was so silly until willing to give up this golden opportunity to study in Harvard University .
Every student that graduated from that university has plenty of job vacancies waiting for
them . The people around Josh persuaded him not to give up this chance just because of a
woman that abandoned him since he was a kid .

However , Josh did not listen to what his teachers and friends said . He chose to give
up the chance to study in Harvard University and selected one of the top universities in Milli
Town . All of them felt upset except the selfish mother . She was glad that Josh listened to
what she said and willing to accompany her for the whole day . She never thought about
Josh’s future, she only cared about herself . That day onwards , Josh studied a medical
course in one of the universities in the town , helped other high school students with their
studies to get a salary and took care of his mother that got cancer . Josh was tired but he
never gave up on studying . He always remembered his dream to be a doctor . This is his
motivation to work hard .

Five years later , Josh became a trainee doctor and his mother also passed away due
to the cancer . His father married again and has his own new family . Josh did not reject his
father's will to get married and he gave his father the precious wishes . Josh's whole life was
as bitter as a guava but he still almost managed to achieve his dream as a doctor . Josh has
a good development in his works and he got another opportunity to fly overseas as a trainee
doctor to study more details of the medical courses . The director of the hospital that he
currently worked at told him to appreciate this chance and he will learn a lot after going to
study there .

This time , Josh finally got the chance to study abroad and after the section , he
would officially become a specialist doctor . Two years later he came back and gained more
knowledge . He got promoted very quickly and he then became the head of the Psychology
Department . Beside that , he also got married with his girlfriend . He succeeded in his life
.When Josh looked back to his past , he did not regret anything that happened and he was
glad that he achieved his dream .
