    Instructions: Present your solution on a separate piece of bond paper.

    1.) A two position controller is applied to a process which does not have transfer lag given
    below. Establish a graphical relationship between the measurement input with the valve
    position.

    2.) In terms of percentage, a simple relationship exists between the proportional band and
    the proportional control factor. If the proportional band is 40%, determine the
    proportional control Up In percent output per 1% input.

    3.) The measurement input to a proportional controller undergoes deviations as shown. The
    controller output over the corresponding time interval. Proportional control factor U p = 3%
    output per 1% input. The input and output are at their 50% positions, respectively, prior to
    disturbance.
