TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR Wea AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM OF AUXILIARY BUILDING OF M/s BPSCL, BSL, BOKARO - Check all rotating parts for free movement. - The grease/lubricant in the pumps, motors etc. might be caked due to long, storage at construction site. Check for first charge of lubricant. = Check for smooth operation of valves, = Check for proper supporting of piping, ducting, dressing & clamping of cabling etc. - Ensure proper soldering of lugs on electrical cables and wires and the tightness of electrical connections in motors, starters and controls. Ensure proper carthing of all systems & equipment. Megger testing for motor. No load test for the motor. + Noload runs of pumps, fans, compressors and other equipment for a short time to check for abnormal noise, rotation and vibration. = Check alignment of compressor to motor, pump to motor, fan to motor ete, - Conduct a very through leak test before the refrigeration system is evacuated. A standing pressure should be taken for 24 hrs after standing the vacuum of the plant for same duration, It is always better not to allow water into the condenser & chiller before evacuation of the system. = In general test will be applied to piping before connection to equipment appliances. In no case equipment or appliances will be subjected to pressure exceeding their test ratings = Test will be completed and approve before any insulation is applied. Testing of segments of pipe work will be permitted, provided all open ends are closed by blank-offs or dummy flanged prior to testing. - All piping will be pressure tested to hydraulic test pressure of at least one and half times the maximum operating test pressure. All leaks and defects in the joints detected during the tests will be rectified to the satisfaction of the engineer. The test will thus ensure noiseless circulation achieved through the piping system.
