RESOLUTION NO. ____ - 2019

“A RESOLUTION URGENTLY REQUESTING GLOBE TELECOMMUNICATIONS

INC. TO INSTALL ADDITIONAL CELL SITES IN REMOTE AREAS AS THE GLOBE
TELECOM INC. MAY FIND FEASIBLE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SIBALOM.”

WHEREAS, Section 16 of Republic Act 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government
Code of 1991 expressly mandates that, “Every local government unit shall exercise the powers
expressly granted, those necessarily implied therefrom, as well as powers necessary, appropriate,
or incidental for its efficient and effective governance, and those which are essential to the
promotion of the general welfare. Within their respective territorial jurisdictions, local
government units shall ensure and support, among other things, the preservation and enrichment
of culture, promote health and safety, enhance the right of the people to a balanced ecology,
encourage and support the development of appropriate and self-reliant scientific and
technological capabilities, improve public morals, enhance economic prosperity and social
justice, promote full employment among their residents, maintain peace and order, and
preserve the comfort and convenience of their inhabitants.”

WHEREAS, GLOBE TELECOM, INC., a company duly existing by virtue of the laws of
the Republic of the Philippines, with principal address at 14 th floor Globe Telecom Building,
Senator Gil Puyat Avenue, 1227, Makati City, Philippines is willing to install additional cell sites
on remote areas as Globe Telecom, Inc. may find feasible in the municipality of San Remigio,
Antique;

WHEREAS, it is needed to install additional cell sites in some remote areas of San
Remigio, Antique because its constituents cannot contact authorities and their families in times
of emergencies and other unexpected circumstances;

WHEREAS, there is urgent need on this body to act on this matter for the general welfare
of “San Remigionhons”;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Bayan always welcome such companies to invest and
establish their business in the municipality that will eventually create and provide job
opportunities to its unemployed constituents and increase revenues for the government; and

WHEREAS, the Globe Telecom, Inc. will comply necessary permits and requirements
for the installation of additional cell sites in remote areas as they find feasible in the municipality
of San Remigio, Antique.

NOW THEREFORE

BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED TO urgently request the Globe

Telecommunications, Inc. to install additional cell sites in remote areas as the Globe Telecom,
Inc. may find feasible in the municipality of San Remigio, Antique.

RESOLVED FINALLY, to furnish with a copy of the resolution the Globe Telecom,
Inc., and the Municipal Mayor of San Remigio, Antique.
