CHAPTER III

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This chapter tackles about the processes made by the researchers to

made the innovation of the churros. The research methodology has three aspects
namely Research Design, Data Gathering Instrument, and Data Gathering Procedures.

RESEARCH DESIGN

This research aims to provide an innovation to the product churros. In the

midst of this study, the researchers underwent three processes: Conceptual Stage,
Preliminary Stage, Final Stage.

Conceptual Stage

At this stage, the researchers undergone the process of brainstorming.

They brainstorm about the idea of innovation to the churros. The researchers had a lot
of option what to add in the plain churros. Then, the researchers came up with the idea
of Halo-Halo added to the churros.

Preliminary Stage

In this stage, the researchers gathered the information and facts about
each product to incorporate with each other. They also found some videos to made it as
a basis for the methodology.

Final Stage

For the final stage, the researchers finally made the churros and the Halo-
Halo. They incorporate the two products but they encountered some errors in making
the churro bowl. They experienced trial and error but they overcame that experiences
and made the product a successful one.
DATA GATHERING INSTRUMENT

The researchers made use of data gathering techniques such as

interviews, video playing and mostly internet research that is very important to enhance
the study.

Interview is one of the data gathering instrument wherein we talked to

some people about their insights or opinion to the products to incorporate.

Internet Research is the most used type of research in this study. The
researchers found a lot of information, facts, blogs, insights and also videos which
tackles either Halo-Halo or churros. Video playing about the churro bowl shape and the
making of it. They collect the videos and picked the best and most suitable for their
research.

DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE

In this section the researchers discussed how they gathered source

materials and information needed to further solidify their planning and preparation for
the project at hand. The researchers approached sites with food related topics that were
mostly tied to a famous local dish and foreign dishes that were long old. They also
searched through some books in their local library and resorted to ask some chefs and
bakers around their area and also resorted to other local and foreign studies that were
related to their research. After further research and reading they found an idea that can
be given a twist from their local cuisines. They discovered an old famous dish that
wasn’t given much light. With the new information in mind they started to draw out the
rest of the plans that were lacking in a solid and concrete foundation that could ensure
that the endeavored project can bear result that would benefit the target groups of
people.
