Reflection About Drugs and The Law

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency ( PDEA) are the body tasked with
the implementing the drugs enforcement provision of R.A 9165. They are
responsible to combating dangerous drugs. And their main function is the
disruption of the drug supply through surveillance of police action and
criminal justice system are the main means for supply reduction while
prevention and treatment serve the goal of demand reduction.

The wide spread addiction or dependence which are commonly used the
social problem which has harmful effects among the youth and also the adults
especially they are extremely desperate on social economic and psychological
problems. These drugs is really harmful for it ruins one’s life and breaks down
the physical, intellectual and moral character, of an individual that leads to
criminality and even suicide. This have been found in our present government
to be the serious problem in our society.

The misuse of drugs may take the form of dependence that leads the
person abused. Drugs dependence has been commonly used to people who
are psychological or physiological dependence, while the term drug abuse to
used to indicate excessive use of a particular drug. The most commonly used
drugs the psychoactive- mind drug. While are classified as the a.) Stimulants-
the “uppers” as the cocaine and methamphetamine hydrochloride. b.)
Depressants known as the “dowsers” or “ bars” - are the sedatives , sleeping
pills tranquillizer. c.) Hallucinogens or the “psychedelics” - the LSD, Ecstasy,
ketamine. Alcohol is a depressant. The excess drink of alcohol content is
considered intoxicated- muscular coordination, speech, vision and through
processes are impaired.

As a student we have to understand and realize that we have to prevent


and stay away from using dangerous drug and to use it in a proper way
because some drug are good and its an advantage for our health.
