members of NSU and thus it affects the students learning and achievement.

INTRODUCTION

The curriculum of NSU is fully English medium based that is why faculties are bound to take all the academic
things in English for that Bangla Medium students face different type of problems when they come to NSU. First
one or two semester they don’t cope up the system. Questions of exam, everything is written in English. The class
lectures are also conducted by the language English. It can be really tough for newly admitted students to catch all
the lectures which are given by instructors. Even they are not able to communicate with faculties, even when
faculties ask them question they are not able to answer them and that impact to their results. And it is affects
students learning and achievements. This research will find out the actual problems of the students and also, it’s
solution.

In our country, all well known private universities are fully conducted in English language. And their curriculums
are also English based, and NSU is the best university of Bangladesh and this university follows North American
curriculum. To maintain all the things, NSU maintain language issue. In private university English is not only a
language it is also modern style as well, if you know then you will consider as a smart one otherwise you will be
treated negatively. In SSC and HSC level there were only 2 basic books “ English for Today” and “English 2nd paper
with basic grammar” thus it is enough for a students for learning English? Basically our bangla medium student has
basic English idea and it is not enough for higher education. This deficiency make them nervous and lead their
whole university life guilt. And this thing let them treated negatively. So bangla medium students are not only
treated negatively in NSU but also in all well known university as well.

Many researchers shows there is a communication gap between students and faculty , I mean those students from
bangla medium background. And this communication gap leads a bad impact in their career and affects them
negatively and this research will give a solution of this matter and how they can cope up with faculty. And in my
research there would answer several questions with absolute rules. This research will give idea about how bangla
medium students face problem, how they are treated negatively and how this affects their learning and their solution.

Research Questions

In my research, I plan to investigate all the factors. My research will address the following research questions:

1. What are the main problems Bangla Medium students facing in NSU?

2. Why there is a communication gap between faculties and Bangla medium students?

3. Why Bangla medium students treated negatively?

4. How are the problems affecting their study and learning outcome?

5. How this negative treat affects their life?

6. How to reduce this problem?

HYPOTHESIS

I assume from this research I will find the problem that Bangla medium students face in NSU, and this research will
able to give idea about why there is a communication gap between Bengali medium students and faculties. I can
predict this paper will give idea about which problems affecting their study and learning outcome, and negative
affects. And in the end I will try to find out the solution of this problem. And I think all the bengla medium student
will not face same problem and solution might not be same. I assume this research will tell the problem and the
solution of it.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

For my primary research, I will conduct a survey of a representative sampling of the students in North South
University, obviously students will be from Bangla medium. And this is a pandemic situation I can’t go physically ,
I will have to the most thing from online. I will also design a questionnaire with different type of questions to get a
range of useful data which will help me to answer my research question.

As for my secondary research, I plan to use I will collect data from online research paper, book, documentary.
Because of covid-19 I have to collect my all data through online, and I will collect data survey through google form.

ORGANIZATION

I will be dividing my research paper in many parts. And I think I will able to follow the following order: 1:
introduction and literature review, 2: Research Methods and Procedures, Chapter 3: Presentation, Analysis
and Interpretation of Data and Chapter 4: Summary, Conclusions and Recommendations.

TIMETABLE

I hope to complete my primary research by middle of December and my secondary research by the last of December
I shall complete writing the final draft of my Research Paper by January 1st and I will submit before deadline.
