Haldia Petrochemicals Limited states that the Polypropylene

Homopolymer Grade Halene P M103 complies with the
requirements, recommendations or communications of

1. IS:10909-1984 on “Positive Lists of Constituents of Polypropylene

and Its Copolymers in contact with Foodstuffs, Pharmaceuticals
and Drinking Water”.

2. IS:10910-1984 on “Specification for Polypropylene and its

Copolymers for its Safe use in contact with Foodstuffs,
Pharmaceuticals and Drinking Water”.

3. 21CFR 177.1520(C) of US FDA – Polypropylene consists of basic

polymers manufactured by the catalytic polymerization of
Propylene & meeting the specifications for Density, Melting Point,
Max. Extractable Fraction in N-hexane at Specified Temperature
& Max. Soluble Fraction in Xylene at Specified Temperature as
mentioned in section C of this FDA Clause.

Halene P M103 may be used in articles that come in contact

with food.
