Dear Hiring Manager,

When I heard about the opportunity to apprentice at Infosys, I jumped at the chance to gain
valuable skills while making a real contribution in the professional world. I am passionate about
technology, driven to consistently improve, and committed to further developing myself into a
well-rounded professional.
I believe my experience at numerous educational camps has prepared me well for this
opportunity, both from a skills standpoint, but also as an open-minded student. These camps
include:

- The ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp: In this 2- week camp students
conducted experiments that required complex problem solving. I personally conducted
research and made a presentation on the fundamentals of Bioenergy. The experience
showed me the power of team work and effective communication in solving complex
problems.
- Tech Talks Computer Programming Classes: a series of workshops to teach HTML
fundamentals.
- Project Still I Rise, Urban Stem Camp Project Still I Rise: another residential camp to
learn the fundamentals of programming Alice and JavaScript
- ELEVATE Leadership Academy: this camp focused mainly on leadership, business
etiquette, business plans, and networking skills. This camp has directly changed the way
I go about completing work and networking. It taught me time management and
communication skills.
- The Fellowship Initiative with JP Morgan Chase: TFI for short, was a 3 year program for
minorities of Dallas sponsored by JP Morgan Chase and Big Thought Dallas. I credit this
brotherhood with my mindset now. It has provided the mentorship and development I
needed to work in a professional setting.

All of the camps and programs that I have participated in have molded me into a hard worker,
complex thinker, and effective communicator. I believe I am well positioned to come and learn
behind professionals in the IT field. On the job I will be like a sponge, soaking in as much
information as I can and will return that privilege with a dedicated work ethic. I would be honored
to come and work for a great company like Infosys and I look forward to discussing this
opportunity further.
