GUITAR SYLLABUS II

I. PURPOSE:
The purpose of this course is to develop the God given gifts especially in music
and to use it for His Glory.
II. DESCRIPTION:
Guitar syllabus II will provide the students the basic knowledge on advance
chords playing and also the basics of Lead guitar.
III. OBJECTIVES:
You will…
Learn to play and analyze more advance chords, barred chords in several
positions.
Learn to play major, minor and pentatonic scales in one octave.
Learn right-hand picking techniques and left- hand articulations techniques.
IV. PROCEDURE
LISTEN:
Lecture, demonstrations and explanations of the techniques
PLAY:
Students’ opportunity to practice the demonstrated techniques.
V. REQUIREMENTS:
Electric guitar
Guitar picks (your own preference)
Music paper and pencil
