MAXWAY® Amphibious Pontoon Introduction

Good designed pontoon shape for working on different terrains. Easier to climb and move in soft mud.
Updated pontoon inner structure with higher strength, so lifetime could be longer. And safer for working on deep water.

Assembled heavy duty track chains and track shoes:

Material of track chain : 40Cr specially produced wearable steel, lifetime is 2000 hours longer than common steel chain.
Track chain special production process : quenching and tempering (raising track chains’ strength and toughness).
Material of track shoes: 6 mm thick Q345B steel with special inner structure, stronger than common design track shoes.

On each pontoon, assembled 2 or 3 track chains, according to your requests.

In each pontoon, there are 3 independent watertight compartments.
And there are 3 doors for workers to go into pontoon for checking and repairing (specially designed doors).

Installed DOOSAN hydraulic travel motors in our pontoons. They could get global warranty from DOOSAN.
Quality could be guaranteed. And repair and maintenance will be very easy to do in your local market.

Ends of our driving / driven wheels are forging part. It is stronger too much than casting part and common steel part.
They could supply more reliable strength for driving the whole amphibious excavator.
(Forging part is expensive a lot than casting part and common steel part, but strength is higher too much).

Chain sprockets are “bolted” on the driving / driven wheels.

If need to replace to replace chain sprocket after working for several years, it is very easy to do.
(some suppliers weld the chain sprocket on the driving / driven wheels, it is very very difficult to replace new chain sprocket. You
have to cut down the broken wheel very carefully. And, assembling new sprocket on the used wheel is also not a easy thing).

On the pontoon side, we will add a special material, as the following left photo.
This special material could help to reduce the corrosion of acid water or salty water. So, pontoon lifetime could be longer.
Pontoon inside and outside is painted high quality anti-rust paint, they could protect pontoons very well.

Armrests and pedal for operator to climb on pontoons. The armrests are bolted on pontoons, easy to remove and replace them.
Pedal is big enough for operator to step on.

On the steel holes that hydraulic hoses will passed, we add soft rubber cover to protect hoses to be worn by steel.
User-friendly design will make you work happy and like to use them.

For each set of pontoon undercarriage, we supply a set of spare parts for free (5 pcs of track shoes and 20 sections of chains).
They could be very helpful when you need to replace some parts urgently.

Side pontoons with hydraulic fully automatic spuds for amphibious excavator to work on deep water and flowing water.
The side pontoons could raise the width of the whole pontoon undercarriage, so it could help to keep balance.
And spuds could be pushed into river bed by hydraulic system to fix excavator steadily, very easy to operate.

Comparison of MAXWAY high quality amphibious pontoons

with other cheap and low quality amphibious pontoons

1) In MAXWAY pontoons, we will install big torque hydraulic travel motors (DOOSAN brand).
For example, for our amphibious pontoons for 20--23 ton class excavators, they will be installed DOOSAN TM60VC (standard
pontoon) or TM70VC (hydraulic extendable pontoon) travel motors.

For other suppliers, they install DOOSAN TM40VC travel motors. Driving force of TM40VC is smaller a lot than our TM60VC
and TM70VC, also price is cheap a lot.
For their small size travel motors, the driving wheels will be smaller size too. Price is cheaper than ours, but small driving wheels
will bear too much pull force, easy to be broken.

2) Our MAXWAY sprockets are made by alloy with heat treatment. The cost is higher, but lifetime is longer.
Some suppliers’ driving / driven wheel sprockets are made by common casting without heat treatment.
Very easy to be worn and broken.

3) Our sprockets are bolted on driving / driven wheels. Very easy for users to replace sprockets after working for several years.
Some suppliers weld their sprockets on the driving / driven wheel. Cost is cheaper, but very difficult to replace sprockets.

Besides, we weld reinforcement structure on sprocket to make it strong and reliable.

Cheaper pontoons do not have reinforcement structure, just simply weld, not reliable !

4) We supply the whole set of hydraulic pipelines that connect hydraulic travel motors with your excavator centre revolving joint.
So, when you getting our pontoons, you could connect these hydraulic pipelines with your excavator directly, no need to buy
more pipelines by yourself.

Some suppliers only supply 1 or 2 meter long hydraulic pipeline to save cost.
But users have to buy more pipelines to connect their excavators.

5) For our pontoon bottom, we have special design : double-layer chain tracks on pontoon bottom.
On the chain tracks, all the factories will weld wear-resistance steel plate to protect pontoons.
If users forget to check the wear-resistance steel plates after using pontoons for several years,
the chain track at the pontoon bottom easy to be worn. Water will go into pontoon, that is not safe.
Considering this matter, our engineers make double layer chain tracks on pontoon bottom (pontoon inside).
Even the chain tracks are worn, the second layer will help to stop water go into pontoon.
So, users could drive amphibious excavator to land to repair safely.

6) Our track shoes have special designed inner structure.

They could bear more pressure, not easy to be broken and bent.
So, our track shoes could be used for longer time, maintain cost and repair cost are lower.

Some cheap pontoon track shoes inside is empty, no inner structure to supply strength. Very easy to be bent and broken.

7) Our chains are specially made by 40Cr alloy with heat treatment.
They are specially designed by our chief engineer according to his 18 years pontoon design experience.
Lifetime is longer. So your repair cost is lower, and not waste your time.

8) Our chains and track shoes are connected by bolts.

Very easy for users to replace new chains after working for several years.

Some suppliers weld chains and track shoes together, it is a bad thing for users to replace chains.

9) On each pontoon side, we make 3 check holes for users to go into pontoons for checking and repair.
On the checking hole door, we make special seal to stop water go into pontoons.
This seal has better working performance other common seal.

Some cheap pontoons do not have checking holes. If pontoon need to be repaired, that will be very difficult.

10) We supply 5 pieces of track shoes and 20 sections of chains for each set of pontoon undercarriage for free.
These parts are helpful when you need to replace them urgently.
