Including all the layers and assets as per “PWA_GIS Standards Manual” latest
version as per Contractual Requirements. Use the most updated SDE version
schema.
Note: All drawings soft copies must be in AutoCAD (and PDF) format as per the
GIS approved format and as per Ashghal CAD Standards Manual Latest Revision.
All the Summary Sheet must be in Excel format. The assets reflected in the AutoCAD
drawing shall be detailed in the related Summary sheet, and vice versa.

1) The contract require documents to be submitted in Hard & Soft copy –Compact CD
and H&S copy of approved DWGs (approved drawings by IA ‐ Roads & Drainage
Networks Design Dept.). These documents should be listed in the GIS Monitoring
sheet which is to be reviewed, approved and stamped by the contractor and the
consultant.
Note: A separate submission is preferred for each Network or PS (Foul, S&GW, and
TSE) and any related works.
The details should include the number of documents in each set, and each summary
should give the total number of assets included.
2) These documents should be officially as per contract, procedure and QCS and should
comprehensively cover all the elements of the project.
3) The required geographic coordinate details information (Survey report) should be
done through an approved third party (TPA) Survey Company.
4) All submitted documents like Drawings and Record Sheets should be readable,
colored, and matching the approved legend. Light colors such as yellow are to be
avoided.

5) As Built drawings: Colored A1 size (unfolded are preferred) Soft copy shall meet CAD
Standard for CAD DWGs format shows the sequence number, Invert Level (IL) &
Cover Level (CL), flow direction, pipe type & dia., and the length including:

Layout plan (scale 1:2000 & 1:10000).
The record for abandoned assets shall show its final status in one of two ways:
either not exist anymore, or is abandoned/grouted and still physically exist in the
site.
6) Should be done by an approved s u r v e y company . One hard copy & one soft
copy including all required information reference to the Qatar National Grid 1995 plus
one soft copy an AutoCAD file layout plan drawings shows the coordinates, Cover
Levels (CL) for all features of the project.
7) Geographic c o o r d i n a t e p o i n t s m u s t be provided f o r all assets. If the asset
is a big structure like; PS, reservoir, tank, shaft, etc. Coordinate points must be
included for all the corners, not like a MH which is only one point (center).
8) Should use the approved excel format, Hard copy and soft copy for the following:
First sheets (monitoring sheets) to be completed correctly.
Hard Copy, Each page of summary sheets to be signed and stamped by consultant and
the third party surveyor.
The information should be entered in the second sheet, and it will be automatically
placed in the first sheet (the one that should be printed out in the positioning stage).
Formulas, format changes, and others modifications won't be allowed.
All applicable fields in the summary record sheet must be filled fully. (i.e: Manholes,
Catch pit, Soak‐away / Gullies / Sewer / All kind of chambers / House connection /Any
constructed features like PS, raising main and tank /Any change in pipe dia. and bend and
end cap, length, Material etc.)
Cross checking of Total depth of MH as per invert level (IL), Cover level (CL) component
total depth etc. with plan, profile and then finally C.L. & I.L. TPA survey report.
Length to be cross checked with Profile, and record sheets in the layout only scale and
grid would be sufficient.
Connection of a new project to the existing one to be matched in term of Level,
Coordinates, Numbering system.
At least 5% random check of record sheets to be cross checked by, As‐built, site visit
/survey / CCTV or existing GIS data.

9) The asset numbering should follow the system given in the latest revision of GIS
ASSET REFERENCING STANDARDS document [AAD‐AMPR‐002 GIS Asset Referencing
Standards]. Generally the reference numbers of the assets will be controlled and
checked by the O&M department to ensure there would be no conflict with existing
numbers.
10) The assets name shall be the same in both stages. Any change in the assets name
shall be highlighted in the Second Stage templates.
11) Any new, or removed, asset between the two stages shall be highlighted in the
second one.
12) The meaning of the field names in the 1st and 2nd stage templates are clarified in the
nd Stage
“Key” sheet including into the templates. For the 2 the field names and the
domain values are defined in the Ashghal GIS Standard Manual (latest version), as
well.
13) One single file (ArcGIS Personal Geodatabase), within all the layers and assets. Use
the most updated SDE version schema. Use “PWA_GIS Standards Manual” latest
version, as per reference
