To Whom It May Concern

I have studied my bachelor degree in chemical engineering and during my bachelor degree I have carried
out innovative research projects in energy and advanced materials. After the graduation, I have
developed my own startup in energy sector and worked at Center for Innovation and Research to help
students and professors for developing innovative startup projects in energy sector. As a founder of
ThermoNorth startup I have joined in different business accelerator and incubator programs to bring my
new technology into the market. In 2019 VentureWell invited me to the United States to develop new
relationships with local companies. During two months business trip, I achieved pilot testing agreements
with several companies. As I did not have enough experience in management, I hired experienced
manager and paid a lot of money to do management jobs instead of me. As a founder, I could not accept
it because I was very motivated to do management jobs by myself. Therefore, I decided to strengthen
my knowledge in energy management to drive all management related jobs myself. Apart from that, I
work with early startups in renewable energy sector at Center for Research and Innovation. Therefore,
to help new startups in reviewable energy sector, I need advanced skills in energy management.

When I studied in my 3rd year of bachelor degree, I came up with an idea to decrease fuel consumption
in cars. With my professor, we worked on new green additives for engine lubricants for one year. This
additive is added into the engine and, as a result, friction force is reduced significantly which results in
lower fuel consumption. After developing MVP, I develop startup to commercialize this energy efficient
technology. I participated in ClimateLaunchpad cleantech accelerator program and won 1st place in
Azerbaijan and presented this project in ClimateLaunchpad global final in Edinburgh, Scotland. When I
attended in ClimateLaunchpad accelerator program in Edinburgh, Scotland, I had a chance
to meet new people from different international organizations. As a result, program director
from Nikkei invited me to Tokyo, Japan to participate and present my project in
Transportation and Mobility Conference. Apart from that, I had chance to meet angel
investors during the business networking event and we discussed possible opportunities for
investment on ThermoNorth startup.
Apart from ThermoNorth startup, I was also founder of Climasel project. In this project we
have developed energy efficient ceiling panels for rooms. These panels absorb heat in
daytime and release absorbed heat at night when temperature drops below 23 C. In this
way we cut electricity cost for cooling and heating of buildings. In September 2019, I
presented this project in Central Asian Energy Conference in Taskent, Uzbekistan and my
project was selected as a winner.
In my last year of bachelor degree, I started to investigate on improving energy efficiency of
solar panels. To increase solar panels’ energy efficiency, I designed passive cooling
technology for each panel to maintain optimal temperature on panels. Research studies
show that when temperature of solar panel is increasing, efficiency is increasing. By
attaching passive energy technology to solar panels, efficiency is increased by 20%.
My friend is former student of Newcastle University. When we met, we discussed studies
and opportunities for students Newcastle University. He advised me to investigate
Renewable Energy Enterprise and Management course because he said that I can achieve
new skills on project development in energy sector. After that I started to search this course
and what I liked most in this course was that students can apply all skills in practice during
the program. I also searched careers of alumnus of this course and I saw that they have
achieved successful career after the graduation. I believe that after graduation of this
course, I will be able to work more efficiently on my energy related projects to bring them
into the market. In 2019 Azerbaijan and UK signed agreement to commit to partnership on
renewable energy. This long-term partnership will allow both countries to develop and
operate new renewable energy projects. My management experience gained through the
master at Newcastle University will allow me to make new contributions to this partnership.
