1. Compare DBMS with data warehousing. Discuss why data
integration is a major difference in the data warehouse.
2. Institutional finance for the rural sector consists essentially of
loans extended by financial institutions for rural development.
The financial institutions are Scheduled Commercial Banks,
Regional Rural Bank, Cooperatives, Large-Size Adivasis
Multipurpose Banks. A data warehouse is built to study the
institutional finance of the rural sector. We are interested in
finding out the year-wise details of loan disbursements and
outstanding loans. It is to study the loan disbursement of the
bank--group-wise, purpose-wise, and region-wise. The country
is categorized into different regions namely, North, North-East,
East, Central, West and South. Each region consists of a set of
states.
Now prepare a dimension modeling for a data warehouse.
3. Mention phases of KDD process. Write data enrichment in
detail.
4. Give an example of frequent set generation in discovering
Association Rule.
5. What is a Cluster Feature? Explain with an example.
