I invite attention to the reference 1st cited, wherein it was requested

to ensure necessary follow up action on the directions of the Hon’ble NGT,
as the Hon ‘ble NGT has periodically reviewing the compliance status of
implementation of various Waste Management Rules and other
Environmental issues in OA. Nos 606/2018, 673/2018, 519/2019,
148/2016 and 593/2017 and issuing directions from time to time for
effective implementation.

2. It was also informed that in the Hon’ble NGT in Orders dated

10.01.2020, 28.20.2020, & 02.07.2020 a compensation regime is laid
down for continued failure of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 and
Liquid Waste Management.

3. In this regard, it is to inform that the implementation of Liquid Waste

Management covering STP’s, FSTP’s, Reuse of Treated Waste Water,
Polluted River Stretches, etc., are being looked after by the Public Health
& Municipal Engineering Department and the said projects are completely
monitored by the Engineer-in-Chief (PH), AP, Tadepalli.

4. Accordingly, in the reference 3rd cited, the Engineer-in-Chief (PH),

AP, Tadepalli, has been requested to take necessary follow up action in
the matter as per the directions issued by the Hon ‘ble NGT and directed
to furnish necessary reports and ATR directly to the A.P. Pollution Control
Board under intimation to this office.

5. In view of the above, it is informed that the reports and ATR on the
Directions of the Hon‘ble NGT on Liquid Waste Management will be
submitted by the Engineer-in-Chief (PH), A.P., Tadepalli, as the above
subject is being dealt by the Engineer-in-Chief Public Health & Municipal
Engineering Department.
