Thank you for your interest in Drummond Geometry and

the P&L Lessons. We have made every effort to create
an easy-to-use learning tool for you. Here are some
technical notes that may enhance your experience and
help you get set up.

I) TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

The DRUMMOND GEOMETRY / P&L SCHOOL multimedia lesson

series is designed to run on a PC using Windows 95,
Windows 98, or NT 4.0.

This demo will also run on Windows 3.1, but the actual
Lessons will not run on Windows 3.1 or other versions
of Windows.

Minimum System Requirements:

* 486 or better PC machine
* Color monitor
* Audio speakers and sound card that allow you to
listen to at least "radio quality" audio through your
PC (sample size: 8-bit; channels:mono; sample rate:
11,025).
* Hard Drive free disk space required for these lessons:
130 MB.

Although the above are minimum requirements, note that

the Lessons will look much better on higher-level
machines, and we recommend viewing the Lessons using a
Pentium or better machine with ample RAM (32-64 MB) and
a 17" or largermonitor, running Win 95/98 or NT
4.0.

II) DISPLAY SETTINGS

Optimal System Settings:

* Screen resolution: 800 x 600 pixels.
* Color palette: 16-bit color

Guidelines for Changing Your System Settings -

WINDOWS 95 and NT 4.0

a. Open Settings, Control Panel in your Start Menu

b. Double-click Display Properties

c. Click on the Settings tab

d. Find "Desktop Area" and make sure that it is set

to 800 x 600. If not, do so.
e. Find the Color Palette and make sure that it is
set to highest color setting. If not, do so. If
the highest color option is not an compatible with
800 x 600, choose the highest setting that is available
in the Color Palette option box.

g. Exit Display Properties.

Once these settings are established you will be able

to use the P&L School Lessons with an optimum display.
When you have finished with your lessons session, you
may wish to re-set your screen display size to your
normal settings. On some systems you may need to
reboot to restore the look and feel of your desktop
icons.

III) INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1) Put the CD in your CD-drive and run

"Setup."

2) Follow instructions on the install

program.

3) Make certain that your computer speakers

are "on" so that you can hear the sound
effects and audio comments that go along
with the Lessons.
