S6 EMS

• Manufactured by Motorola in England (France)

• Designed to be mounted on rubber supports
to the engine block without cooling
• Scania designed connector concept
• Minimized number of connection points (only
one at the S6 unit)
• Included in the system are sensors
for speed (2 pc), oil pressure, boost pressure
& temp and coolant temperature

Engine monitoring system
Oil pressure:

Alarm for low pressure:
• Two alarm levels
• After start of the engine, system delay is 5 sec.
• <1bar at engine speed <1000 rpm
• <2.3bar at engine speed >1000 rpm (delay 5 sec.)

Normal factory setting is alarm only at fault


Other reactions as a result of fault can be set by means of
PC and ECOM

• Additional reactions at a second level (105° C)
