The 2020 US Election: Trump declares “The Most Dishonest Election in History” while his

supporters jump ship to less censored platforms.

Trump supporters filled the streets of Washington on Saturday, certain that a re-election was still
possible. A claim that Trump himself continues to fuel on his twitter account, accusing the ‘fake
news media’ and the Democrats of robbing the election. Trump has still not conceded victory to Joe
Biden, 13 days after the US Election which boasts the highest voter turnout in history. The recounts
are still underway: on Wednesday, Georgia will report the final votes which are set to be
consolidated two days later. The same procedure will take place in Pennsylvania and Michigan next
Monday, the date which the post-electoral stalemate could end to give way to the transition.

“The most dishonest election in history” tweeted the former business tycoon, who has won the
other 72 million American votes, revitalizing the soul of the Republican party. The GOP, meanwhile,
continues to remain by his side, for the moment at least.

On the horizon, aside from the meeting of the Electoral College Delegates on December 14 th and the
inauguration on January 20th, is the Senate runoff elections in Georgia on January 5 th. A crucial date
which will indicate the future of the next American senate, at least until the next midterm elections
(in which all 435 seats are renewed in the House of Representatives and a third of the Senate Seats).
IF the democrats win the 2 undecided seats in Georgia, they will also win the majority of the senate
thanks to Kamala Harris, as the Vice President is also the president of the Senate. The democrats
have already won the majority of the House.

The Online Migration of Trump Supporters.

Meanwhile Trump supporters are leaving Facebook and Twitter in favor of alternative platforms
which, unlike the two ‘mainstream’ social media sites, do not flag or censor the posts making
unfounded or misleading claims about the presidential election. The most popular among his
supporters are Parler, Rumble, and MeWe which are seeing a rise in the number of downloads.
Parler, founded in 2018, is one of the most downloaded apps in the United States in recent days. In
a week, as evidenced in The Wall Street Journal, the number of downloads has doubled, reaching 10
million. Rumble is also on the rise, this month it expects that between 75-90 million users will watch
videos on the platform, in contrast to the 60.5 million users last week.

MeWe and Gab are seeing similar trends. MeWe, which presents itself as “the Anti-Facebook” has
no advertisements or political biases and has become the most used site among conservatives and
conspiracy theorists alike while Gab is frequented by supporters of the far-right including neo-Nazi
and white supremacists.

Newsmax is also seeing an increase in its support. The platform has informed over 3 million people
who followed their coverage of election night and their app has jumped within the top 10 most
downloaded. Newsmax media also owns a cable tv network which, according to sources, could be
acquired by partners of Trump as an alternative to Fox News.
