COMMUNICATION SKILLS ASSIGNMENT

1.Linear regression : Testing whether the diameter and the length of the pipes are
dependent on each other

Model Summary

Adjusted R Std. Error of the

Model R R Square Square Estimate
a
1 .794 .631 .606 3524.6704

Model B Std. Error Beta t Sig.

Diameter(mm) 14.518 2.869 .794 5.061 .000

a. Dependent Variable: Length(m)

From the above tables we can see that the R squared value is 0.631 , R(correlation coefficient) is
0.794 therefore showing us that there is a strong relationship between the length of the pipe and
the diameter.

2. Paired T test we want to see whether there is a significant difference between the weight and
the country

Independent Samples Test

Levene's Test for Equality of Variances

F Sig. t df Sig. (2-tailed)

Weight Equal variances assumed .389 .547 .291 10 .777

Equal variances not assumed .283 7.809 .785

The significance is 0.547 therefore showing us that there is a significant difference between the
weight of the car and the country.
3.One way Anova ( ONE WAY ANALYSIS OF VARIANCE ). Since p<0.05 we can see that there is no
significant difference between the ph amongst the grroups. One the second example p>0.05 therefore
we can conclude that there is a significant difference between COD amonst the groups.

4. Paired samples t test : we want to check whether there is a significant difference between V5
and V8

The significance is 0 therefore showing us that there is no signicant difference between V5 and
V8.

5. One sample t test : we want to check whether the ph of the water deviates from 7

From the above results we can see that the significance is 0.034 therefore showing us that there
no significant difference between the ph values from 7.
