In 1939, the pianist of the Warsaw ghetto of Jewish origin Wladyslaw


Szpilman is working as a pianist while listening to the German bombings
and attacks in Warsaw.
Thus having repercussions months later for the Jews forced to leave the
ghetto, already sent they face mistreatment, humiliation and torture
and were taken to extermination camps.
Wladyslaw szpilman was saved by a German policeman watching his
family taken away, he remained hidden in the ghetto going through
many needs and supporting a resistance against the German occupation
in the presence of the red army.

The pianist is found by a German officer who learns that Wladyslaw


Szpilman is a pianist the officer decides to help him, provides him with
food and helps him hide while the war goes on for weeks after the
Germans are forced to leave and the officer says goodbye to his friend
the pianist.
Weeks later The hopeful pianist hears a sound of peace which he and
the other survivors go out to stop hiding and months later he continues
his career as a pianist playing that melody that was interrupted by a
bombardment.
