have to search and follow the central
pipelines and its coverage for each
endangered city.

dams/lakes. Information on the
total number of household - tube-
wells would be handy.

where there is no direct
pipeline are expected to get
hit early by the crisis.

there is drought continuing
for several years. People are
migrating from those places
to nearby cities which is
putting additional pressure
o n w a t e r c o n s u mp t i o n .
Migration hot spots are
always rich with content.

cultivation of water

(C) Demography
1. The women are likely to face the blow of the
crisis. In India the women are responsible for
fetching water from far. The more the crisis
hits, the distance to nearest water reserve will
grow in number. The girl child will be the
convenient addition to the water fetching
group. Drop out rate will rise among girls. This
gender divide will be vital area and we can plan
portrait content out of it.

2. Daily life pictures at homes, with families

might show the issues of waste.

3. The local economy is expected to get hit. The

price of staple foods are expected to rise in
local markets. Small trades will get hurt
through that. Portraits can also be planned
keeping these factors on mind.

4. There will be tension and social problems

regarding the access to ground and even
supplied water. The lower caste (Dalits) and
m i n o r i t i e s a r e e x p e c t e d t o fa c e m o r e
discrimination in accessing water, that might
lead to mishaps like violent clashes among
groups.

The above mentioned three sections

should generate enough of expected
content having common the thread of
these ideas behind them. The final
storytelling will depend upon the success
of this framework.

 Principles For Climate
Change Documenting

Climate Change is the biggest issue that we are facing all over the world. This issue has the
content to bring all the stakeholders of the society agree on a single agenda that we need to fight
it survive on this planet. Every country on this planet is now being challenged by one or more
environmental issue which they had previously ignored.

 1. Ground Water Crisis is a hard issue
to fake or suppressed. Once the area is
hit, there will be chaos due to the
crisis, which can be felt from local
streets to global media as well.
Specially when it comes to India the
political intrusion sometimes make it
hard to get required quality shots from
the location. This means I might have
to stay longer than anticipated.

2. A Ground Water Crisis hitting 21

densely populated cities is
unprecedented, so from being the story
to be new it’ll be more of one of its kind
in this case.

3. The visual ideas to showcase the

Climate Change implications and
scenarios are already pointed out in
the proposal.

4. The photographs of water wastage

and water scarcity side by side should
be eye opener for many.

5. 21 cities will be covered, so I expect

to get cluster of visual references to
make the final story moving.

6. When I am there to photograph I

need not represent any side of the
debate, my responsibility is to show
