Purpose of the event:

This simulation game reproduces a model cycle of IPOs promoted by a seller. We try to show if
the interactions between the potential subscribers and the seller.

Highlights of the event:

 Teams of 3 players to be formed, which will display their startup idea in front of the
audience.
 Audience will play the role of retail investors and will invest the fictitious amount of
1,00,000 rupees given to them in the startup ideas of the teams.
 The teams will also play the role of institutional investors and will invest the fictitious
amount of 10,00,000 given to them, in the ideas of other teams.
 A person can play only one role – either a team player or a retail investor ( audience)
 The team with highest investment in their idea will win.
 2 People from the audience, having/ holding highest lot of shares in the winning team wll
also be awarded.

Distribution of Prices:

Title Prize Money

Team holding highest lot in the winning team 500
Two people from the audience holding highest 200 each
lot in the winning team

Rules and Regulations:

 Teams will have to prepare power point presentations supporting their idea.
 The Presentations should also cover following points:
1. Cost structure of their business plan including information of fixed cost and
variable cost.
2. Information of Issue Size
 3. Information of Price band range
4. Information of the lot size (both maximum and minimum)
 After a team displays their idea:
1. Each team will announce their amount that they want to invest in other team’s
idea only when the moderator calls out the teams, respectively.
2. After closing of the window for the teams (institutional investors), the moderator
will open the window for the bids from the audience, the window will last 20
seconds.
3. With the count of 3 the window will closed for the audience and next team will
come up to display their idea.
4. No bid will be entertained after the window has be closed.
 The platform for this simulation game will be on zoom app.
 Any misconduct by one of the team player, will lead to serious action against the team
and the team will be disqualified.
 Misconduct from the side of the audience will also not be tolerated, and action will be
taken accordingly.
 The teams are requested to keep their power presentations short and to the point.
