Tip-2: Things to Do When Trip Or Alarm

Do Not Attempt to Restart Engine Without Confirming Whether The Vibration Is


Real or Spurious
• Inspect GG/PT for Damage

• Check Instrumentation

• Listen to Abnormal Noise of GG and PT during Spinning, Startup and/or


Rundown

• Record vibration Trend and Save The Trip Data Log

• Determine Frequencies of Vibration

Tip-3: What to Do for Sudden Jump In Vibration

Review The High Spike in Vibration Trend and High Speed Data Log File:

• If Duration of The Spike Is Less Than 1 Second, It Is Most Likely Electrical


Interference

• If Duration of The Spike Is Greater Than 1 Second, Or More Than One Channel
Spike at The Same Time, A More Intensive Inspection Should Be Conducted by
Following Tip 2 Suggestions
