The document describes the listener's experience listening to Claude Debussy's piece "La Mer." The up and down melody of the piece evoked images of ocean waves rising and falling. Initially fast-paced, the music conveyed the rushing motion of waves. It created a feeling that was both fast yet calm and relaxing, prompting the listener to imagine themselves on grasslands overlooking a flowing sea under moving clouds.

While listening to Claude Debussy’s piece, first, it became nostalgic because I
have heard it somewhere in a cartoon, but when I realized that La Mer was simply a piece about the sea, that’s when I imagined myself just standing at the sea, looking at the waves, this was possible because of the up and down melody of the piece, it was portraying the waves going up and down, also at first it was fast paced, I think what its trying to portray is the fast flow of the waves, I also imagined the sky and the clouds continuously moving and not stopping. Another thing in my drawing that you will notice is that instead of putting a beach, I put grasslands instead, I think this is because of the vibe you will while listening, it is fast paced but also calm and relaxing. So, that explains my drawing, when I listened to La Mer. Also, I am not good at drawing, so I just put myself in there hehe. Thanks sir.
