I was the 1st student to be granted admission to the college in 1983. The beginning Bangalore. After doing cutting edge research at
was humble operating through a makeshift premise and some very dynamic IISc, continuing for a Ph.D. seemed like a
academicians like Dr. V D Karad, late Prof V. Wartikar, Prof. Darade to name a few logical path, but it was the various stimulating
stalwarts. The environment created was extremely conducive to experiential discussions and career guidance from my
learnings and sharing's blended with ethnicity and simplicity. Would definitely professors at MIT that propelled me to proceed
recommend this institution and would certainly like my children to be a part of this for the coveted doctoral program at IISc. Even
legacy in the near future. Mr. Jude Linhares though it has been more than 7 years since I
Dabur International (Dubai) graduated and left Pune, I am still in touch with

Minor in Computer Engineering for

Non Computer branches
(ECE, Mechanical, Robotics, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, Polymer)
• MIT-WPU Faculty of Engineering is introducing a minor in Computer Engineering along with pursuing
their major in their chosen BTech specialization.
• This will enable the students to gain an expertise in two different disciplines.
• To earn the minor in Computer Engineering (CE), the student should acquire an additional 20 credits
defined for a minor in CE.
• These credits are in addition to the mandatory 168 credits of the BTech Program at MIT-WPU in
which the student is admitted.
• After a successful completion of 168 + 20 credits, such students will have transcripts and grade
sheets which will confirm their BTech in chosen engineering specialization along with a Minor in
Computer Engineering.
• The students can take up the minor after the successful completion of their first year.
• With minors in Computers, student will get wide job opportunities in core Engineering as well as IT
sectors.
Industry-Ready Students
Along with regular curriculum MIT-WPU Faculty of Engineering is introducing new Industry-Relevant Courses in
BTech for all streams as:
1. Linux based Python Laboratory (1 Credit)

2. Basic IoT Laboratory (2 Credits)
3. Data Science for Engineers (2 + 1 Credits)
4. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) (2 + 1 Credits)
