 girau mayūrā gagane payodā

lakṣāntare 'rkaś ca jaleṣu padmam

indur dvi-lakṣe kumudasya bandhur
yo yasya mitraṁ na hi tasya dūram

The raincloud is in the sky, far away from the peacock on the mountain. The sun is a million miles away from the
lotus. The moon too is far away from the water lily. Yet the latter always experiences immense joy and blooms on
seeing the former. Indeed, physical distance does not separate like-minded friends.

 उद्यमे न हि सिध्यन्ति कार्याणि न मनोरथै ः ।

न हि सु प्तस्य सिं हस्य प्रविशन्ति मु खे मृ गाः ||

udyamena hi siddhyanti kāryāṇi na manorathaīḥ |

na hi suptasya siṃhasya praviśanti mukhe mṛgāḥ ||

Any task can be accomplished only through proactive enthusiasm, never by imaginary thoughts alone. Deers
(animals) do not enter the mouth of a sleeping lion.
