HSUPA rates

The TTI for an HSUPA service can be 2 ms or 10 ms. Different TTIs provide different benefits:
 When the TTI is 2 ms, a higher throughput can be achieved. If SRB over HSUPA is used, the
theoretical uplink peak throughput can reach 5.74 Mbit/s over the Uu interface. If SRB over DCH is
used, the theoretical uplink peak throughput can reach 2.88 Mbit/s over the Uu interface. However,
when the TTI is 10 ms, the theoretical uplink peak throughput can only reach 2 Mbit/s over the Uu
interface.
 When the TTI is 10 ms, interleaving brings more gains and less power is consumed. Therefore,
wider coverage can be achieved.

HSUPE 2ms TTI selection

The TTI is set to 2 ms when all the following conditions are met:
 Both the UE and the NodeB support the 2 ms TTI.
 The MAP_HSUPA_TTI_2MS_SWITCH check box under the MapSwitch(BSC6900,BSC6910)
parameter is selected.
 The MBR is greater than or equal to the value of BeHsupa2msTtiRateThs(BSC6900,BSC6910).
