Organizational leaders must model desired behaviour

When somebody is a leader, his team has certain expectations of him. To be a


good leader, there are several actions he must do; but more importantly, their actions
must be desirable. Being a leader, your team will look upon you so you should exhibit a
role model behavior. Leaders that ''walk the thought'' or simply matching your actions
with the words you say. When one's action is against what they say, you're going to be
viewed as a problem so practice what you preach.

A positive working environment has an advantage to be better in solving


problems and overcome adversity in the workplace. A leader should present a positive
attitude towards his team. Exhibit strength, calm and perseverance even in times of
stress, a leader will instill the same within his employees. Additionally, a leader should
be trustworthy because employees will show respect if you are true to your words and
honest. It is a way to earn and build trust among your employees. Leaders have a great
impact to their employees, aside from they lead their employees they must be able to
inspire them. Motivating the team rather than criticizing them and seek effort to inspire
them will be helpful to reach their full potentials and reach personal goals as well as
professional goals which is a good thing for the an organization or a company. Good
communication is also essential for any organization to reach goals and run smoothly.
Furthermore, a leader must listen more than talk more. They should have the time to the
concern of his employees and offer advice to improve and solve problems that arises.
Knowing their employees and their lives is also necessary, it is a way of showing
respect as individuals inside and outside the workplace. However, leaders should also
communicate his concerns and expectations to his employees to make them do better .
Offer support and encouragement, it is done by creating a healthy workplace
environment and taking the time to understand any difficulties and issues employees
may be having.

In conclusion, employees as well as leaders have responsibility and


accountability with their own actions. Doing what is ethical must be exhibited all the
times. A leader setting a positive example is an imperative element of leadership, life
and work. Actions and attitudes are being watched so set a good example. Impact of
having a positive working environment will result to goals being done effectively and
happiness of each and everyone.
