1. Double click on the Icon EN_DLS (EN Data log Software).Refer Fig 1 
 
 
2. Communication settings:  Fig 1
2.1. Select the communication settings such as Serial Port from the COM/LAN, Baud rate, and Parity from the 
drop down menu and click the Save the button. Refer Fig 2. 
2.1.1. COM/LAN  : To select connected COM Port present in the computer.  
2.1.2. Baud rate  : Baud rate that could be selected is 4800, 9600, 19200(depends on Device). 
2.1.3. Parity  : Odd/Even/None can be selected (depends on Device).

3. Data log settings. 
3.1. Select the Device ID, Time Interval, Total parameters and Parameter list. Refer fig 3. 
3.1.1. Device ID: Can be selected from 1 to 247, Same as Meter Device ID. 
3.1.2. Time Interval: Can be set from 1 Minute to 12 Hours. 
3.1.3. Total parameters: Total no. of parameters that could be selected is 1, 2, 4,9,14 or 29. 
3.1.4. Parameter list: Select the required Parameters from the given list.

3.2. When the Total parameters are changed from the previous setting, a message is displayed “Old data 
will be erased. Do you want to download the data?” as in fig 4.  
3.3. Clicking on Yes will download the old data before changing the no. of parameter setting. At this time all 
the buttons get disabled. 
3.4. Clicking on No will directly change the settings to the required no. of parameters selected. 
3.5. Select the required parameters from the Parameter List drop down menu and click on Add button. 
3.6. The selected parameter gets added on to the “Added Parameters” list.  
3.7. Once the added parameters are equal to the Total Parameters and if “Add” button is clicked, then the 
message is displayed as “Not possible to add more parameters. Please check the Total Parameters 
selected”. 
3.8. Now click on the Write button. Then a message appears on the screen as per fig 5.

On clicking the Read Button, the selected parameters can be viewed on the Added Parameters List and 
also the parameter settings.

3.10. Use the Clear All Button to clear the list of all the Added parameters. 
3.11. To change the parameters use Remove Button. 
 
4. Download: 
4.1. In the Download Menu select the Download Option, Month & Year, Device ID, and Data File Folder 
name. Refer fig 6 
4.1.1. Download Option: Logged Data could be downloaded Date wise or All Data.  
4.1.2. Date Range : All the 12 months and Year 
4.1.3. Device ID : Device ID of the meter 
4.1.4. Data File Folder name:  Path of downloaded file.  
4.2. In case the selected download option is All Data, Date Range gets disabled. 
4.3. When “All Data” is selected, software will download all the recorded data available in the meter. 
4.4. When “Date Range” is selected, enter the “From Date” and “To Date” for which the data is required, 
and the software will download only the selected period data from the meter. 
4.5. Click on Download Button. Now the data gets downloaded. 
4.6. After the data is downloaded a message is displayed as “Download completed”. Press “OK”. 
4.7. The downloaded data then gets transferred to the Excel sheet at the location “Data File Folder Name”. 
4.8. In case the Device ID or any other improper communication settings, error message is displayed as

CAUTION: Change in number of parameters causes the entire memory to erase.
