DRESS CODE SUPER IMPORTANT!
 There is specific attire for state competitions that are based on which events you are competing in
 THE CHANCE OF WEARING A BLAZER IS NOT 100% BUT IT IS QUITE HIGH! THIS IS A GIANT WARNING TO GET A BLAZER SINCE YOU WILL
NEED IT IN OTHER CLUBS TOO!

 Official Georgia TSA Attire (Most Formal)


 Blazer: navy blue with official TSA patch
 Shirt or Blouse: either a while shirt/blouse or the official TSA royal blue shirt/blouse may be worn
 Tie/Scarf: Females may wear the official red scarf with the white shirt or wear the official royal blue blouse with an open collar (no tie
or scarf). Males wear the official the official TSA logo neck tie with either color shirt.
 Pants or skirt: light gray (skirt length should fall to at least the tips of one’s finger)
 Dark socks: males only (black or dark blue)
 Shoes: black dress shoes
 Professional Attire (less formal):
• Shirt or Blouse: males or females, button-up with turned-down collar or the official TSA royal blue shirt/blouse (unacceptable: t-shirt, polo or golf)
• Ties: males required, females optional
• Dress pants: khaki, navy, and black (unacceptable: jeans, baggy pants, exterior pocket ("Cargo" pants)
• Dresses/skirts: females only (skirt length should fall to at least the tips of one's finger)
• Dark socks: males only (black or dark blue)
• Shoes: Dress shoes or boots; females only may wear open-toe shoes or sandals

STORIES
 create an illustrated children’s story of high artistic, instructional,
and social value
 may be written in prose/poetry and must take the form of a fable,
adventure story, or other structure
 one team or individual per chapter. The project must also be
started and completed during this school year, and The
illustrations must be “high quality”. You will have to test out the
book with young children in grades 3-5 as “test subjects”. It must
also match this year's "theme"
 The theme for Children Stories is to Create a pop-up book in
which the pop-ups illustrate the story. The story should include
the use of non-renewable energy resources

 Theme: “Problem Challenge: In 2020, the United States
government is conducting a national census. Using
publicly available data sets, analyze and conduct research
on population and demographic trends in your
state. Predict the outcomes and how the results could
potentially impact your home state.”
• A group event where you’ll collect, analyze, and make a
prediction based off data. Then you would document
and summarize your research with a detailed poster and
present your findings to a panel of judges at the
competition.

MUSICAL
PRODUCTION
 "Participants produce an original musical piece
that is designed to be played during the national
TSA conference opening or closing general
sessions. The musical piece should be energizing,
interesting, and of a spirit consistent with the
Technology Student Association"
 There are a lot of different things that must be
completed to fit with the rubric, and the music has
to be more than 1 minute, but less than 3 minutes
 You will need to do a lot of editing! If you are
somewhat skilled in Garage Band, request to
compete in this event!
FORENSIC SCIENCE

- In short, onsite test at competition

- The test will cover basic forensic science


knowledge

- If you are a semifinalist, you would go into the


competition, examine a mock crime scene, use
proper techniques to collect evidence and write a
detailed analysis of the crime scene demonstrating
your knowledge of forensic science and crime
scene analysis.

BOWL

Technology bowl was another very popular Many questions about technology related
event. Technology bowl is a written and oral concepts like the ones in the other tech
test over many progressive rounds with the events. The first round is a written test, then
number of teams decreasing, similar to progresses into oral responses, and finally
forensic science. ends in a head to head oral competition.
