It’ll be alright

By Serenity Pfaff
It’ll be alright,
We will be fine.
Yes I noticed,
I noticed how you show your anxiety.
You pluck strands of hair from your head until you feel satisfied.
Yes it did affect me,
You pluck and I play.
I See you see your hair as a disgrace where I see my hair as silk.
I run my hands through my hair and feel the happy chemicals flow into my brain.
Your anxiety makes you feel everything wrong with it,
My anxiety feels the silk.
We are the same,
but different.
It’ll be alright.
Yes,
I remember the days you forgot.
To this day there are still things you can’t remember.
It’ll be alright,
If you need help remembering what your disassociated amnesia made you forget,
I will tell you.
It’ll be alright,
I will tell you all the good and bad times you forgot.
Yes,
I remember the day you said
“Who are you?”
With a scared expression.
It’ll be alright,
You don’t cause the depression or anxiety.
In fact,
You save me.
When my chest feels tight and I can’t help but be overwhelmed by the darkness
You save me.
Arms opened wide,
With a warm embrace the darkness is gone.
I know,
You’re mother wasn’t as kind as mine.
You’re mother added onto your anxiety,
You dealt with it in your own way and survived.
I am dealing with my issues too,
I learned we all go through things differently,
We all handle them differently.
We all choose our own path.
It’ll be alright,
I can handle it,
I will deal with it my own way.
