I. OBJECTIVES
Forgems Marketing Company Incorporation will ensure all chemicals used in its facilities will abide by the local regulations and
it will take due diligence to prevent any contamination of products by used chemicals.
To communicate the proper training in handling, labeling, storage and use of chemicals used inside the facility particularly,
Sanitation, hazardous and flammable chemicals and to provide procedures during chemical emergencies (exposure, spills, etc)

II. SCOPE
This procedure applies to all chemicals used directly or indirectly in Forgems Marketing Company Incorporation

III. GUIDELINES / PROCEDURE / CRITERIA


1. Purchasing of Chemicals: All nonfood chemicals should be purchased through the proper approval of QA Head and
Operations Manager.

1.2 Sanitation Chemicals should be purchased after consulting with the QA Head.

1.3 Lubricants and other chemicals require for machinery and operations should be purchased after due approval
from the Operations Manager.

1.4 No non approved chemical should be purchased and used in Forgems Marketing Company Inc..

2. Labeling: All primary and secondary containers used for chemicals should be duly and legibly labeled.

3. MSDS: Material safety data sheets for all Chemicals in the facility should be available onsite with QA Department
and Operations Department.

4. Storage:

4.2 All Chemicals should be stored away from Packaging material, Food Raw and finished goods material.

4.3 All chemical storage should have limited and only authorized access; it should be locked all the time.

4.4 All Chemicals delivered to the facility must be stored in a chemical resistant container, sealed and without signs of
spillages or tampering.

4.5 Chemical Handler will store the chemical in designated storage area.

4.6 Storage rooms should have close proximity of water

5. Spillage:

5.2 Personnel handling chemicals should wear appropriate personnel protective equipment.

5.3 (PPE’s) (gloves, protective safety glasses, etc) while handling chemicals supply, eyewash station, should be maintained
in room temperature or lower and be provided with exhaust system.

5.3 Secured, well ventilated and labeled area where safety measures are taken to prevent and/or contain spillages.
5.4 All the affected area should be immediately cleaned after the spillage by use of water. Or as suggested in the MSDS
5.5 If any Raw or packaging materials get affected by the spillage it should be disposed.
