INTRODUCTION:

In this article “Water is not available in Selangor”published

in September 2020 .Issue of the suspected parties
involved in polluting the water sources of Sungai
Gong,Rawang.Tuan Ibrahim say they needs to find out
where the sources of the river pollution. So they ration
water for recover contaminated water. This makes the
residents of selangors worried because there is no water
for their daily use.Beside, pengurusan air Selangor
sdn.bhd corporate communications chief,Elina Baseri say
10 hours of warning and pumping would have to be
carried out first before that four threatment plants could be
fully operational. This is because the cleaning process is
quite difficult there are too many toxic .Next, the issues of
this article is heads must roll yet another river water
pollution scandal. We have to find people who release
toxic waste in the river, this is because it has polluted the
river throughout Selangor and made all the people of
Selangor not have water.Lastly, only 247 areas in klang
valley without as at 6.30p.m.It is because the treatment
plants is water being treated from the pollution, this is
because there are still toxic waste in the river.

CRITIQUE
The first issue is about the suspected parties involved in polluting the water
sources of Sungai Gong, Rawang. From my opinion, I disagree with the issue
because the issue have caused the problem to the population in Selangor. It is
also have caused difficulties to them to continue their daily life. This is because,
the river is the main need for the locals to continue their daily activities easily.
Therefore, the water quality must be in good condition and clean.
The evidence that I found from this issue is water supply has been restored 51.6
per cent of affected areas in Selangor. The National Water Services
Commission (SPAN) had also directed Air Selangor to inform consumers on the
restoration schedule according to the areas after the water distribution system
had stabilised.
"The matter includes filling up all main tanks which are empty to ensure
sufficient water pressure and to make sure there is no air lock in the piping
system, he said.
Tuan Ibrahim said he had also ordered SPAN to contact state water operators
such as Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan Sdn Bhd, Syarikat Air Melaka Bhd,
Syarikat Air Darul Aman Sdn Bhd and Syarikat Ranhill SAJ Sdn Bhd to continue
assisting the distribution of water to affected consumers.
According to him, currently Air Selangor has mobilised 114 water tanker lorries
including nine from state operators to provide 22 public stands, 70 static tanks at
19 local service centres as well as distributing five litres of drinking water to
affected consumers.
Then, the solution from the issue is the suspected parties involved in polluting
the water sources of Sungai Gong, Rawang leading to the disruption of water
supply would be charged next week.
The charge was made under the Environmental Quality Act 1974 (Act 127) and
the Water Services Industry Act 2006 (Act 655).

The second issue is about the 10 hours of warning and pumping would have to
be carried out first before that four threatment plant could be fully operational. In
my opinion, I agree with this issue because the cleaning process is done first, so
that it can drain clean of water. Moreover, it can drain more of the water to the
public. The evidence from the issue is the process of stabilizing the pool surface
to a height of four meters is expected to be completed at 8.30 am today, before
supplies can be distributed to consumers. "Once the water supply distribution
system is stabilised, Air Selangor will give an update on the water supply
recovery schedule according to locations and areas,”. Elina added that Air
Selangor would continue to release water from the Sungai Selangor and Sg
Tinggi Dams to assist recovery of raw water for the four treatment plants,
currently operating to treat water with a maximum capacity of 2,850 JLH.
“Air Selangor has received assistance from nine tanker trucks from other state
water operators such as Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan Sdn Bhd (SAINS),
Syarikat Air Melaka Berhad (SAMB), Syarikat Air Darul Aman Sdn Bhd (SADA)
and Syarikat Ranhill SAJ Sdn Bhd (SAJ) to help distribute water to affected
consumers, “ she said.
Elina added that in addition, Air Selangor has mobilised 114 tanker trucks
including nine from other state operators, provided 22 public taps in areas with
water supply and housed 70 static tanks at 19 local service centres.
"Air Selangor will update information on unscheduled water supply disruptions
from time to time through all communication mediums, including Twitter,
Facebook, Instagram and our website at www.airselangor.com. Consumers are
also encouraged to download the Air Selangor smartphone application on
Google Play or the Apps Store to get the latest information on the water supply,"
she said.
The solution for this issue is, the process of stabilizing the pool surface will be
doing as soon as possible, so that the problem of water pollution of the
population in that areas can be solved totally.
The third issue is about heads must roll yet another river water pollution
scandal. From my opinion, I disagree with the issue because the issue have
caused a problem to the population in Selangor Menteri Besar, must bear
responsibility for this inexcusable and repeated pollution of Sungai Selangor.
Therefore, the water quality must be in good condition and clean.
The evidence that I found from this issue is the people must demand that head
of enforcement, the environment minister, and the Selangor and resign
forthcoming.
Selangor lost one of its most pristine white-water rafting sites that was
internationally acclaimed as world-class. Since then, taxpayers have had to bear
the cost of the dam through indirect taxation.
The rising cost of living is but the result of uneconomic projects by the
authorities, a burden we are paying for today.
Even if some Malaysians don’t care about the plight of the Orang Asli or the
displacement of other indigenous peoples for dam projects, their own discomfort
during these unscheduled water cuts should be enough to warn them of an even
worse catastrophe in the looming water crises to come.
To demonstrate that we will not accept any more such incidence of wanton
pollution of our water sources, we call for the resignation of the head of
enforcement and the Selangor Menteri Besar over gross dereliction of duty in
ensuring the safety of our water sources.
Then, the solution from the issue is the Selangor state government carried out
its pollution free water crises is by no means a new phenomenon.
The last issue is about the Air Selangor only 247 areas in Klang valley
without as at 6.30 pm. From my opinion, I disagree with the issue
because this makes many people worried about this. It make people in
Selangor do not have water for daily use.
The evidence that I found from this issue is water supply has been
restored in 1,045 of 1,292 affected area, in even regions around the
Klang valley, us at 6.30 pm.
Air Selangor also advised consumers not to store or use excessive
amount of water so as to ensure smooth recovery process in other
affected areas.
To date, Hulu Selangor recorded 100 per cent water supply
resumption, followed by Kuala Selangor (99.62 per cent), Petaling
(92.43 per cent), Gombak (84.67 per cent), Kuala Langat (75 per cent),
Kuala Lumpur (70.85 per cent) and Klang/Shah Alam (39.55 per cent).
The water supply disruption began on Thursday when the Sungai
Selangor Phase 1, 2, 3 and Rantau Panjang Water Treatment Plants
were forced to stop operation due to pollution at the raw water source
The solution for this issue is, the distribution system is also being
stabilized to enable water to be restored to another 24 areas by
midnight today.
Conclusion
In conclusion, we should avoid ourself from doing activities that can pollute the water and
river.for example DO NOT pour fat from cooking or any other type of fat, oil, or grease down
the sink. Keep a “fat jar” under the sink to collect the fat and discard in the solid waste when
full. Avoid using the toilet as a wastebasket. Most tissues, wrappers, dust cloths, and other
paper goods should be properly discarded in a wastebasket. The fiber reinforced cleaning
products that have become popular should never be discarded in the toilet. Avoid using a
garbage disposal. Keep solid wastes solid. Make a compost pile from vegetable scraps.
Install a water efficient toilet. In the meantime, put a brick or 1/2 gal container in the
standard toilet tank to reduce water use per flush.
Run the dishwasher or clothes washer only when you have a full load. This conserves
electricity and water.next, state the water operator companies need to ensure that water
treament plants a good condition .the Water treatment is any process that improves the
quality of water to make it appropriate for a specific end-use. The end use may be drinking,
industrial water supply, irrigation, river flow maintenance, water recreation or many other
uses, including being safely returned to the environment. Water treatment removes
contaminants and undesirable components, or reduces their concentration so that the water
becomes fit for its desired end-use. This treatment is crucial to human health and allows
humans to benefit from both drinking and irrigation use..last,the gogerment should needs to
solve the problems immediately.so that the community can use the water for daily use.many
ways that we can do like the stopping water crisis from reaching tragic level needs more
concern of people as well as governments. It can be an effective ways to increase
consciousness among all people from all walks of life regarding the shortage of water and
what people have to face in the future if the uncontrolled water usage is not stopped.
Governments should implement laws to penalize uncontrollable use of water. People should
be wiser and miser in using water. Everyone must think of better ways to discipline oneself
so that water is not wasted. It is better to come up with precaution than solution. Finally,
people should safeguard the environment and filter unwanted pollutants before it is release
to the environment.
