RESOLUTION NO. 163-2020

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MUNICIPAL NUTRITION ACTION PLAN OF

THE MUNICIPALITY OF PLARIDEL, PROVINCE OF MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL FOR
CALENDAR YEAR 2021

WHEREAS, malnutrition is a significant health problem which affects millions of

lives, and in recent years, the Philippines’ situation has not sustainably improved in this
aspect and poor nutrition is continuously being felt. It is thereby appropriate to develop
strategies to improve the quality of life of our constituency and to have substacial
decreases in overall disease burden;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Nutrition Action Plan of the Municipality of Plaridel for
CY 2021 had been prepared to identify nutrition interventions aimed at improving social
services and had likewise provided action plans to develop the nutrition programs of the
municipality;

WHEREAS, these programs, projects and activities will be implemented in the

homes, schools and community which include food production, micronutrient
supplementation, food fortification, food assistance, livelihood assistance, nutrition
education, and capacity building for nutrition workers;

WHEREAS, a careful review/scrutiny on the Plan reveals that it is

comprehensive, containing all information and data including the programs and projects
related to nutrition for Calendar Year 2021 and is geared toward the attainment of the
objective which is to decrease malnutrition;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of SB Member Lucita M. Aviles, duly seconded by

SB Member Algelyn B. Paradiang, the Sangguniang Bayan Members –

RESOLVED, AS IT HEREBY RESOLVES, TO APPROVE THE MUNICIPAL

NUTRITION ACTION PLAN OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF PLARIDEL, PROVINCE
OF MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2021

RESOLVED FINALLY, that a copy of this resolution be furnished to the Office

of the Municipal Mayor, and other offices, departments and agencies concerned for
their information, guidance and reference.

UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED by the 29th Sangguniang Bayan of Plaridel on its

36th Regular Session for CY 2020 held on November 6, 2020.
